Reviews on Cafe food in Great Falls, Montana, United States. Anyone with an interest in history and a love of the great outdoors will enjoy a getaway to Great Falls. Steeped in the traditions of the Old West and chock-full of historic buildings and important landmarks, the city itself is a living museum. But there are also real museums to explore. Check out the Lewis & Clark National Trail Interpretive Center which has interactive exhibits and videos that help you retrace the steps of the famous explorers. The C.M. Russell Museum Complex displays the work of the "Cowboy Artist" Charlie Russell. Families should stop at the Children's Museum of Montana for hours of entertainment. Or walk into the past of the Northern Plains at First People’s Buffalo Jump, where Native Americans used to stampede buffalo over cliffs. Visitors can also take advantage of a wide array of outdoor recreation opportunities. With a fantastic view of the Missouri River, the 24-mile River's Edge Trail is great for walking, biking, in-line skating or jogging. Bird watchers will enjoy the Benton Lake Wildlife Refuge, and hiking, biking and camping opportunities in nearby mountain ranges offer even more outdoor fun.

We visited here because of TA.....and were not disappointed! We were a bit after the lunch crowd, so were found a table immediately! We both ordered the soup, which was the Southwest. It was very good....not spicy! We also ordered the grilled cheese with ham and it was also tasty! Friendly wait staff!

Visiting Holiday Village Mall and looking for a lunch option we gave up and crossed the road to Wheat. Busy, a good sign. Order at the counter, food delivered to your table. Tried the Big Rancher Sandwich. The beef was the compressed and formed type, not expected. The second was the Mighty Missouri - turkey, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and ranch dressing, again pressed and formed meats. The bread was very fresh and tasty. Good service, nice clean interior, credit cards accepted. Wheat has outlets in other Montana locations. One thing we like is their resealable bagged flour. Its very good for baking and we love the packaging - no paper bag leaking flour all over the place.

Other places have good fresh ground coffee but they always taste just a little too "special." You know, when the first sip takes a little getting used to? Al Banco serves 5-star coffee but it does not have a weird flavor, just good wholesome tasty coffee. I came back the next day for more, it was that good. And the food is first class all the way. Delicious fresh-baked treats, etc. This place is new, a little off the beaten path, but well-worth discovering.
