The Conduit had a genteel feel about it, with a delightful cottage garden extending from the terrace. Unobtrusive music played during our light lunch, and the person who took our order and served us was charming. There were a few solo diners on our visit, and they evidently felt comfortable dining alone. A collection of magazines were available to browse which was a thoughtful touch. We had a light lunch, with a chicken Tikka jacket potato (the skin was just right to eat); cheese and ham toastie; and BLT on brown bread. And as the cakes and puddings were irresistible we also had chocolate caramel slice and strawberry meringue dessert. The pot of tea for two came with a generous pot of hot water, and while four cups were drunk, there was still more tea in the pot!It would be easy to overlook The Conduit as it's slightly elevated above the road, but this adds to the charm when you're in the conservatory, as you can look out over the bustle of people making their way into town.

We visited here as a family of four on our way back from nearby Belton. We walked into the farm shop (which itself is small) We were greeted by a member of staff who rudely stopped us and said âyou can sit down unless youâve bookedâ Not a great first impression, as another member of staff came straight over and said she had a table for four, ready for us.We ordered a mixture of food, from jacket potatoâs, paninis and sandwiches. The food was lovely. It looked and tasted great too. The jacket potato portion was massive. All in all, this would of been a five star review had it not been for the rudeness of one member of staff. However, all the other staff were really lovely, and the food was really good. We will be back here again.
Called in today as a pit stop on the way to a good friends funeral after leaving home at 7:30. The cafe staff were really nice and friendly. Coffee was first class and great service. Also the showroom was really good. Lots to see and all in really good condition

We have been visiting Leo's for years now and this unfortunately was our last.We arrived at about 3pm on a weekday for a coffee. Our cappuccinos were quite honestly, awful. They were virtually tasteless with a very thin froth on the top. Given that there are a lot of establishments in Grantham offering coffees, we were surprised at the quality here.Such a shame, as we know the food is good, but perhaps a new coffee machine wouldn't go amiss!Thank you for your feedback. Im sorry I havenât replied sooner, I didnât receive a notification of your review.Iâm truly sorry to hear about your coffee, we took on several new members of staff in December and I can only assume it was a trainee who prepared your drinks. I realise this is not an acceptable excuse, but mearly an explanation. I hope you will come back and try us again, and if you ever experience a problem please ask for me personally and I will see to you.RegardsPaul Meakin

Stopped for a break off the A1 when travelling a long distance. Arrived about 2pm and was pleased they were still serving food. Choices were on the main board and a little limited. We had road in the hole and scampi and chips, with a pot of tea. Each of the meals were generous and filled our stomachs. Good value as all this cost about £18.

A very small and underrated cafe on the High Street. There is limited seating but they do offer takeaway. The menu is extensive and includes baked potatoes, burgers, wraps, panini's and more. The food is freshly made to order and delivered promptly. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit you will not be disappointed!

We're a specialist Teashop selling our own high quality loose leaf teas along with locally roasted coffee. All our teas can be enjoyed in our shop before buying some to take home. We also sell a range of teapots, infusers and homeware goods.
We came in on Thursday with my 6 year old, hoping to have a nice time with a slice of cake. There were samples of tea at the front of the cafe, which we tried before we proceeded to the make an order. Just before we were ready to make an order, the owner (I presume it was him) rushed to us, asking us 'are you actually going to order something' in a raised voice. To which I politely replied yes. I took a table at the very end of the cafe as my son is an active and a curious boy. I was on the phone, when my son went to the cafe shelving to have a look at teapots, which was 2 meters away from me. Immediately, the owner rushed to me, shouting 'Madam, you should watch your child, he out of control'... I am still in shock about how we were both treated. Not coming back. Ever. I have a lot of friends moms with kids, and this is not a place to come for a cake with children. Shame that the owner did not even see anything wrong about his behavior and continued to be nasty when I confronted him. We go to 'Kitchen and cofee' cafe a lot, and never had anything like that ....We are a family run Teashop and always welcome children. I apologise for how I made you feel but as a business owner I have a duty of care to ensure every customer has a safe and enjoyable visit. If my actions to ensure a safe and pleasent environment is maintained upset you and your child then teaspoon is not the Teashop for you. We are a shop as well as an eatery and have lots of products such as teapots and mugs for sale that can be easily be broken and could harm a child. We do expect that children are cared for by their parent's and not allowed to roam freely around the shop.
