Hand Made Coffee used to have a very good location, now Sisa the Barista. The Kaif is a pretty basic student fast-food spot so the fact that some of the best coffee in town is made there is a bit lost, sadly.Only paper throw-away cups are available so if you are environment-conscious, bring your own reusable cup.Loyalty cards from Hand Made Coffeeâs previous location still apply.
Boutique African coffee roaster. Small batch roasting, single origin and artisan blends.
Stumbled across HCR, almost by accident, as they didnât have a TA handle at the time! We were in town for the National Arts Festival and visited four times in two days! Awesome coffee, great ciabatta sandwiches, savoury and sweet muffins, served by some lovely people. Great value, too! Part of the reason to return to the NAF next year!

The Barista Sisa is an authentically African coffee shop. Grahamstownâs much loved Barista, Sisa aims to showcase the African roots of his coffee in the way that he prepares and presents your daily fix. Whether itâs a cup on the run, a business meeting or
Sisa is a top barrista for a small town and makes really good cappuccino and other espresso drinks. Bakery items accompanying the coffee are from a shop that used to be separate. Bagels are a speciality â made the proper way, boiled then baked. For a quick meal there is a range of sandwiches and wraps as well as pies and other bakery items.Occasionally I find filled items like wraps are too runny, making them awkward to eat.Overall: best coffee in town and the only place to get a real bagel (but get in early, they sell out fast). Thanks so much for your review! We are so glad you enjoy our coffee - it's made with a lot of love, happiness and a touch of Sisa magic! We hope you'll be popping in again soon.

Went there twice, so here's a reliable opinion. Why go twice you might wonder..well, it was open, and I'm an optimist by nature. And very hungry.Chips were ghastly (twice), mushroom on toast not much better and the veggie burger was simply disgusting. I truly have not had such terrible food in my entire life. You reply: but a veggie burger, whatever were you thinking?? Fair point, but if you are in the business of selling food, whatever it might be, it ought to be nice. Or at least, edible. This was not. Shameful!!

Great vibe in this small friendly upstairs cafe. Wraps, burgers and salads plus ample breakfasts, juices, smoothies and coffees. Try the home made kombucha. We came for a working lunch and ate chicken wraps and salads which came with proper home cut chips. Really tasty and good value. Lovely covered terrace too. Returned for more then next day.

Lovely space, especially out the back on the deck or under the trees. Nothing too special around the food, but attentive service.
