So much more satisfying than a franchise, this is homey, with good service, helpful tattooed staff.... Great variety of chairs, and signs....but without the creepy dirty quality that often makes such ancient places objectionable. Good fresh food, and I really like the California Bird (turkey) on Squaw bread! It's worth going into the little old original town of Fair Oaks, seeing the tiny shops, and wild chickens on the streets, and this place for coffee (or chai) and a turkey sandwich (and they have others as well).

I came here on a Friday after the lunch rush. I've never been to any of The Sandwich Spots, so I wasn't sure what to get. Nika (the owner), was so helpful and friendly, and I decided to get the #26 after she described what kind of sandwich it was and let me taste the sauce (it's not on their regular menu). It was one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever had! The store was very clean, the customer service was awesome and so friendly, and the food was terrific. The price for the sandwiches average from about $7 - $8, and will definitely satisfy your appetite. If I lived in the area, I'd be coming here every week!

We were in the neighborhood and decided to check out this place. It's tucked away from all the other area dining options. We were there mid-week, but it was still busy for lunch. Looked like a lot of locals frequent this place. We were immediately greeted by staff and came face-to-face with a very tempting bakery display as we were escorted to a table. The menu had great variety of lunch options. We noticed that the breakfast menu looked pretty good, as well. We had the burger and the "Aggressive Grilled Cheese." Both were excellent. The garlic fries and sweet potato fries were also quite good. Service was friendly. Prices were maybe a little high, but not unreasonable. There were a few other menu items we want to try, so we'll be back.
