yes, its just shaved ice, but this one is something different. It is hard to explain why it tastes so good, but the ice part is so fluffy. Its pretty easy to point the place during the summer because you will see a line of people there. Its very close to the local Station - Kugenumakaigan on Odakyu line. Worth trying it!

While Lon Café boasts being the first French toast specialty café in Japan, plenty of later incarnations beats the original both in terms of the taste and the value. Our party of four adults each ordered a different item from the menu. About 1200 yen gets you a surprisingly small, circular piece of French toast with your choice of coffee/tea on the side. Via the eye test, it seemed easily under four inches across.Because the toast was paired with ice cream, I felt pressure to finish the toast as fast as possible. With each passing moment, the ice cream would melt into the French toast - making it undesirably soggy. At 1200 yen, I didn't want to feel rushed!There are so many better options in the greater Tokyo area if you are craving French toast. Mercer Brunch in Roppongi and L'atelier Cocco in Mita are just two places I've recently had much better versions than what's offered at Lon Café. I recommend giving Lon Café a miss when visiting Enoshima.

ここはこの辺りでは有名な誰もが知るケーキ屋さん。フランスの匂いを取り入れながらも日本人に合うテースト。併設された喫茶コーナーは、自分で選んだケーキを楽しめて248円でベンディングマシーン系だがコーヒーなど飲める。ウィークデーは近くのおばさん達の溜まり場。今日はモンブランを食べたがかなり美味しい。近くに来たら買って帰るべし。美味しいケーキ。

注文は１階かと思いきや、２階でどうぞと言われました。ちょっと不安に思ってしまったのは、ディスプレイしてあったケーキの数が明らかに少なかったから。案の定、最初に注文したケーキ二つのうち一つは品切れ、再注文したものもやっぱり品切れ。品切れケーキはきちんと把握しておいてください。１階のキッチンと２階の連携が取れていない感じ。どうにか注文が通ったニューヨークチーズケーキとパウンドケーキ自体はおいしかったです。でも、店内で飲む飲み物がプラ容器でげんなり。カフェタイムを過ぎていてセット価格にならず、カフェラテ単品５５０円とお安いわけではないのに。

We had lunch here, where the burgers are the star. There are several types of burgers available - teriyaki burger, avocado burger etc. We chose the basic hamburger. They were hand-formed beef patties served on a perfectly textured bun, with the usual toppings of lettuce, tomato, onion. Fries on the side. The burger had a real BBQ-grill flavor; the chef/cook obviously spent time in the U.S., as it hit the mark on all points. The breakfast menu only had three items - eggs benedict, French toast, and rice porridge. It comes as a set menu, with coffee, tea, juice, soup, and your choice of main. Drinks are self-serve and refillable. The French toast was served with no syrup but instead was topped with fresh fruit, fluffy and yummy.The restaurant is small, but in nice weather there is some outdoor seating. Not a destination, but if you are a guest at the hotel, or in Fujisawa and crave a burger, 8 Café is worth trying.
