While visiting the Kawaguchiko Music Forest, we decided to have lunch at the restaurant on its premises. Downstairs is a more casual cafe and upstairs is a restaurant that served course set meals for lunch. We opted for one of the course set lunch and it consisted of a salmon salad, creamy potato soup, pasta, souffle, and coffee or tea. The food was great and so was the view of Mt. Fuji!

It was a perfect cafe that we came across. A nice little house with Victorian furniture. The menu was handwritten in Japanese but the lady boss could read out all the items to us. They have curry rice, pasta, pizza, crepes, etc...It was a very homely place, and we felt very happy and comfortable there. Ordered her home made cafe latte. Probably made using a moka pot as I did not see an espresso machine. It tasted like what I make at home :)The meat pasta was sweet and lovely, and the pizza was very delicately done. You could feel that the food were prepared with love. Also had their signature crepes which was with cream, banana and chocolate. A sweet ending to our meal before we continue our journey along the Kawaguchiko lake. This cafe is on the main road where the drive way to the Muse museum is. Muse museum is a Japanese doll museum. If I am in the area again, I will surely go back to have a meal there.

This is the main station where tourists should alight if they want to go to Mt. Fuji tours. According to a train employee we talked to from a previous station, tourists mistakenly go to Fuji Station instead of here thinking that station is where Mt. Fuji is, sadly, there isn't even a view of Fujisan there.Upon arrival, there's a tourist office on the right side when you exit the station. I recommend you go there first so you can ask for the schedule of tours, trains, and/or buses. They'll discourage you to take the taxi/ cabs as it's going to be expensive. They can also give you a map and discount vouchers if you want to. Again, communication might be a challenge as not all can speak English here. We were lucky as one of the staff there knows average English so we were able to ask all our questions. There's also a display train in front of the tourist office that you can go into and take pictures of. While waiting for our bus, hubby and I decided to grab some snacks and coffee in the cafe inside the station. There were sandwiches, soups, udon, coffee, etc. available for your choosing. There were also plenty of souvenir food and non-food items. Most items were of course Fujisan-themed: chocolate, cookies, rice crackers, paper fans, necklace, cups, ref magnets, key chains, and many more. I bought some rice crackers and a ref magnet.At the far end left side (when facing outside) is where the toilets are located.Better to get here early and buy your train tickets and just wait here than to come "on time" as you might be surprised by the number of people who'd suddenly appear-- the lines get long. Also, ALWAYS ASK the person in the ticketing booth for train schedules and not just look at the posted ones outside. There's a bit of confusing factor why they don't match sometimes. We almost got left behind by our train, good thing I asked the person in charge.

Beautiful staff, variety and view of the lake but your coffee is way too expensive and milky. I like the setup in this place and I hope it prospers in the future.

Came across this little french cafe and gift shop whilst walking around the back streets of Lake Kawaguchiko. Great coffee and delicious cakes on offer, and some interesting homewares and fashion available for sale. The staff are pleasant and helpful and it was nice to get away from the main tourist street for a while - definitely worth a visit!

Lake Bake is walking distance from Oishi Park so you can drop by if visiting the park. It's known even among locals for their freshly baked yeast bread. We came in the morning about 10am and there were already customers inside. Some came just to takeaway bread and pastries as it was more expensive to eat at the cafe. You buy the bread and let them know you are eating in and order the drinks at the same time. It's a very small place about 3 or 4 tables and some window seats for those after the view of Mount Fuji. There are book shelves with Japanese books for those interested. It's a nice spot for some quality bread and a cuppa of tea.

Music is mainly in Western music, i loved it!Shabu-shabu seems to be a specialty, so we ordered Shabu-shabu and sea urchin cream pasta. Both prices are quite cheap, and taste and quantity were perfect!The staff was one chef and one for customer, and both of them were very friendly and kind.I would like to visit again someday.(They have an English menu for all foods and drinks and there were some customers from abroad.)

My wife and I were looking for a quick dinner and 38K was just what we were looking for!! We had a couple of tasty pizzas and a couple of drinks. The price was good, the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were lovely - highly recommend
