Nothing beats a place where the cook says hello and your waitress sees you enter, brings your carafe of hot coffee over to the table and gives you a big smile. The food is ample portions, fresh and cooked well- service is excellent, and I have probably brought 6 new customers with me in the past few months. I try to get there every month on a weekend with my husband. Try a breakfast casserole, they're great!
Where to eat Sushi food in Fanwood: The Best Restaurants and Bars
This restaurant has a fairly new menu that is mostly breakfast and sandwich eats. The customer orders, then goes to a table to wait for delivery. It advertises itself as giving employment to persons with disabilities, a very worthwhile cause. The cakes and ice cream are excellent. The service was very friendly and accommodating. They close at 6 PM many week days.

I tried the new Steak and White Cheddar Panini at Panera Bread Company in Watchung on Rt 22 and I am impressed. The horseradish sauce gives it the right amount of bite. The onion and cheese play supporting parts in this creation. The hoagie roll was flat and a bit sad but what does a national chain based in Missouri know about our areas great bread. My wife had the broccoli cheddar soup and a salad which she enjoyed as well. The place is a store front café where you order and get your own drink. They have runners to bring your food to the table but it isnât waiter service. You bus your own table. All of the staff was patient and friendly. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting with a choice of seating from formed plastic chairs to cushioned booths to comfy leather armchairs. Prices are a bit steep for lunch but fine for a light dinner. Panera is worth a try.
