Things to do in Eureka
Why wait til Southern CA to view attractive (and a bit punked out) women in bikinis? This enterprising drive- through java hut will fuel you up with enough delicious caffeine to last to San Jose or anywhere along 101 plus provide the ambiance usually seen at the beach (and much warmer climes). Fun coffee drive through the whole year round. Downside...no food to speak of unless you like pastries in plastic.
Finally, real bagels for those of us who came from New York or Los Angeles!I've been craving an authentic bagel for 20 years, round bread is NOT a bagel!Stumbled on this place by accident and when I saw that it was 'New York' style I tried not to get too excited. Holy Cats! That first bite was so good I was cussing like a sailor, the second one didn't make it home....The recipes are both traditional with that chewy texture and slight crisp to the crust and innovative...never thought I'd eat a chocolate chip orange bagel but here we are!And Frankie is just a lovely person! Welcoming, kind, professional, passionate about good food and just plain old nice. The other staff members are also wonderful and don't bat an eye when I rip into that first bite before I'm out the door.I've been going in about every weekend and they never fail! Try this place, you have to hunt for it in the back of Redwood Acres, but it's soooo worth it!

The Wildflower Cafe has been providing the city of Arcata with delicious vegetarian food for over 25 years!
I've been coming here for years, the menu remains unchanged, adequate but could use a bit of updating and wider selectionService variable, only got the correct toast once, which is annoyingThis has to be the only cafe I've been in where some guy walks in, talks to the staff and then starts panhandling me, staff were oblivious

Delicious crepes, scrambled just the way I like them, fresh avocados, crispy bacon, and my favorite cantaloupe. My husband raved about the coffee (he canât stand weak coffee) The hash browns were outstanding, (I love, love, love hash browns!!!) Definitely recommend Golden Harvest Cafe. P.S. Our server was very lovely

Hiding in Henderson Center, this is worth a visit. We go for breakfast and enjoy the coffees and options. No special items (like tofu) for vegetarians, but many choices to put together a good meal. Mediteranean plate good for lunch with hummus and veggies. Bright and airy and usually a table available.

Featured on Food Network's top rated show Diners, Drive-Ins and Drives with celebrity Chef, Guy Fieri March, 7, 2014, it's nestled in historic Opera Alley in Old Town Eureka. Our menu currently supports 17 Humboldt County vendors and 6 more in neighboring
Heard about this place from our hotel. We had a delicious lunch (BBQ poorboy, chicken flatbread, and two non-alcoholic drinks. Service was quick and friendly. Lunch including tip was $40. The restaurant was busy but not crowded. The only con was the area in which the restaurant is located. The surrounding area is full of homeless people, at least 30 people sitting around, talking to themselves and smoking. Also, most of the surrounding businesses were closed because it was Sunday or boarded up. I did not feel safe walking from the restaurant to the car.
