We loved this hotel!! There is a brand new addition to the hotel which is perfect for families. Beautifully decorated. Gummy bears to welcome the kids. There is underground parking. There is a delicious breakfast. Location is perfect with restaurants, ice cream and shops literally steps away. Train station walkable. The staff was very friendly. And as for Erfurt...it was such an enjoyable town. So much do to, few Americans. Quaint European feel.

Recently, we were visiting Erfurt and were on the hunt for a cosy cafe where we could spend some quiet time and have a reading afternoon. We stumbled upon Cafe Rommel which fulfilled these expectations and more!We were seated in a secluded booth where we were not disturbed. The cafe itself was reasonably tranquil even though the other customers were chatting. The food and drinks were fantastic and the decoration was very interesting. Upon payment, we mentioned that the bread looks tasty and the lady working there gave us a bread roll for free!I will definitely be visiting cafe Rommel on my next visit to Erfurt.

Near the station and away from the tourist areas, this small attractive cafe/bakery is ideal if you want to relax with a good cup of coffee and a delicious cake at a reasonable price. It was spotlessly clean and had a lovely homely atmosphere.

We paid 42 euro's in total for 2 persons having had 3 courses and accompanying drinks: that's what we call good value. Dishes were honnest, traditional Thuringer meals of good quality and restaurant was cosy & charmfull. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to any backpacker or anyone else looking for a decent meal at a decent price.

Busy restaurant at the foot of Krämerbrucke. Lovely rooms upstairs, books and crannies downstairs. Sturdy, traditiinal main dishes executed to local standards of cooking. Good-looking cakes and tortes. It would be great if management could educate its patrons in one small way: cappuccino is not an acceptable drink *with* savoury main dishes at lunch or dinner. There is an adequate drinks menu, featuring wines, beers, water and juices if you must. Use it, you heathens.
