Ellicott City is an unincorporated community and census-designated place, along with being the county seat of local government in Howard County, Maryland, United States. It is part of the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. The population was 65,834 at the 2010 census. Founded in 1772, the town contains the B. & O. Railroad Museum's branch at the Ellicott City Station, built in 1830 as the first terminus of the initial line. The downtown historic district is located in the valley of the small Tiber River, with its east end abutting the Patapsco River, which forms the Baltimore County line. As of the 2000 census, Ellicott City surpassed Towson (county seat of neighboring Baltimore County) for the first time, as the largest unincorporated county seat in the country.

We stumbled upon this cafe when exiting the B&O Train Museum. The building is charming and the menu is interesting. The staff was lovely considering we were dining with two little ones. The souvlaki was delicious and the coffee aroma is intoxicating. Save room for dessert. The cookies are the size of frisbees and the Nutella croissant was incredible. Prices are not cheap but the quality and ambience are worth it.

The 4 of us enjoyed our first Sunday brunch here. Very small and tight seating with about 3 small tables outside. Order at the counter and theyâll bring to your table. My Breakfast Platter with bacon and toast was very good and good value for $9.25. The others enjoyed their Kimchi Fried Rice and Crepes. A hidden gem in a office complex....we only found out about it from Googling a Yelp Review for brunches in Ellicott City. Lots of free parking.

Stopped there for a quick lunch. This is a nice but small Japanese place. The ramen was good. You can choose either regular or large size. In my opinion, the regular size is already pretty large.The service here is good, too.

This place has made a comeback. Everything you liked about it before, or if you have never been, you will find the warm and friendliest of staff there to greet you, or welcome you back. Have a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice and sit while you enjoy your croissant. We enjoyed every minute, just knowing we were in the midst of history. Some of their stories on the wall make up the decor and tells us who they are with enduring spirit and proof of hope for Ellicott City strong.
