Cold and rainy and needing a place to warm up. Aperol spritz were good as any we've had. Chicken liver bruschetta was tasty, but the tomato basil bruschetta was burned around the edge, disappointing. At homer I would have sent it back. Price was. very reasonable. Someone was smoking in the bathroom and it drifted upstairs.

This very central bar is a great place to sit and relax in the sun. The interior has interesting photographs on the wall showing various famous people who have visited the town, including international film stars, musicians, politicians and royalty. There is a good variety of drinks and snacks available, and as usual some free nibbles with drinks.

Food was good. We were presented with a small appetizer from the chef. Pici with gorgonzola, walnuts and pears was delicious with out being too rich. Salads were huge. Seafood pasta was quite good. The waiter brought a assortment of small desserts on the house and then we were treated to a liquor like limoncello but made with pistachios.

The perfect morning break from shopping and sightseeing in Cortona is at Caffe Tuscher. The different styles of coffee...espresso, cappuccino, or American coffee...were all delicious. They also offered an array of delicious pastries to enjoy. After two weeks in Italy, our party was craving a good old fashioned American style hamburger, fries and a Coke. Caffe Tuscher fulfilled our every dream with their delicious offerings.
