First time here and a very different menu, compared to most cafes of this type.Busy, even though we arrived well after the usual lunch rush. Bit, a table for 4 available and water straight to the table. I like that. very pleasant staff. food was great. My wife and our friend had soup, served in a huge bowl with toast sourdough. My son and I had a pulled pork stuffed roll with mustard mayonnaise and it was delicious. The bowl of fry was also excellent. Finished off with the best flat white I've had in a long time.

Food is great, very cheap and large portions....plus tastes excellent. Coffee was also lovely, as were the staff and they all really know their stuff! Games were a great evening activity when we couldn't decide what else to do...plus it's also BYOB! Can't wait to go back.

I went there with my wife and daughters for lunch. We decided to have the "Ulster Fry" of eggs, sausage, bacon, soda and potato bread. We are so used these days to fatty bacon with added water, anaemic eggs, gristly sausages etc, but that doesn't occur here. New laid free range eggs, properly smoked bacon, and not a hint of grease on the plate. The only "problem" was that the portions were so big I couldn't finish it. (try the Half fry in future).

The setting is lovely with great views over the ponds towards Strangford Lough and dozens of overwintering ducks and geese. The small cafe has a small selection of toasties and paninis as well as a few more substantial meals on their lunchtime menu with the usual unexciting selection of fillings. The only down side was a long wait for the food.

I go here from time to time to get a good honest home cooked breakfast or lunch with great service, reasonable prices and I am made feel very welcome. Great too for childrenâs meals, brilliant alternative to McDonaldâs with a wide variety to choose from. Iâve lived in the area for about twelve years and only been coming to the Willow Tree for about two. Give it a try, once discovered youâll be hooked.

I visited for breakfast with a family member. We were served promptly and had scrambled egg and toast. They food was well presented and the portions were adequate but not large. The restaurant quickly filled up however the restaurant was not noisy and it appeared to me that the standard of service was maintained. The bistro is situated directly on the street close to a busy junction so there is limited room to sit outside (just a couple of small tables). I would say the experience was enjoyable with the only annoyance being that the front door did not appear to close properly when just pushed to and several times it was left open causing a draft which was irritating.

Had used this restaurant many time and have notice that during the last number of months the prices and value for money is very poor. We ordered a mango curry wrap. It arrived with a large amount of mango chutney sauce (from a jar) and about three small cubes of chicken. Priced at £7.95.

This cafe/deli/shop is simply wonderful and we try and get here at least once on our trips back (we were lucky and made it twice this time). Service is consistently good, the food is outstanding whether it's breakfast, lunch or just a coffee and one of their superb homebakes - you'll be spoilt for choice. Using local produce it's a delight to visit and we're assured of quality every time. Never disappoints.
