Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Clonmel. Clonmel (Irish: Cluain Meala, meaning "honey meadow") is the county town and largest settlement of County Tipperary, Ireland. The town is noted in Irish history for its resistance to the Cromwellian army which sacked the towns of Drogheda and Wexford. With the exception of the townland of Suir Island, most of the borough is situated in the civil parish of "St Mary's" which is part of the ancient barony of Iffa and Offa East.

My impression of the quality of café areas in Tesco would lead me to expect something below average . In Clonmel the upstairs area has been refurbished and is now run by staff who are not employed by the supermarket . This has resulted in a café of the most surprising and delightful characteristics . When producing coffee from their newly installed Espresso machine the ladies who run the place make every possible effort to ensure that it is exactly as my personal taste requires . At the very modest prices that are charged they all take the trouble to produce a made to measure cup . I particularly like a triple shot espresso with a modest top up of water -- nothing like a drowned cup of Americano -- but longer than an espresso -- so far the market has not produced a name for this particular creation -- but the ladies at Tesco Cafe in Clonmel get it right every single time . I have been so very pleased with this that I have had conversations with the staff and their management to confirm my appreciation . They made sure to let me know that they take that degree of discovery of individual tastes for every customer whenever that is needed . So -- I am amazed to find that the very best cup of coffee outside of Cork City in the South is currently served at Tesco Café in Clonmel .

Went here for breakfast with my partner and 2 year old toddler. The toys in the play area, anything with a battery didn't work. Play area was dirty. When we arrived we over heard one staff member to another saying something about kids in the cafe. One staff member walked straight past us with out saying hello or asking for our orders, had to wait a couple mins before the other staff member came down from the top of the deli to the till to take order. Order poached egg on brown bread for myself, 2 rasher 2 sausage 2 slice of toast for himself, another plate with just 2 sausages and 2 Orange juice. â¬19.75.Food came out alot of water on plate from poached eggs. Only 1 sausage came out instead of 2 I did say it and was told she would get the other one. . . I'm still waiting for it. On the way out I was going to say it but 3 staff members where standing in a group talking and I just felt didn't want to approach 3 people on it.

Nestled just off the main street in Clonmel is the bustling restaurant and delicatessen called Niamh's. This is somewhere that not only has a faultless breakfast menu, great cakes and breads, but also delivers super-sharp, creative dishes such as warm ban
Donât go in if you want just a chat as it appears to be busy busy at lunch time, food was fine , got a nice soup and sandwich but I just get them to go now as itâs too packed or everyone seems to be on top of each other.

brough my kids here for a treat before school returned, They had pancakes which came with a ramekin of sugar each, WAY TO MUCH SUGAR FOR KIDS!!! I ordered coffee with cream and a scone, scone came and about 10 minutes later the coffee minus the cream as they had none whipped, this was at 9.30am and there was not many in there, staff seemed to be clueless. won't be returning in a hurry.
