These folks have a good variety of lunch and snack foods. Lots of cookies, coffee cake, pannini, scones, fritata, and usually a pasta or rice dish for lunch. I hadn't eaten here in a while, but found it to still be good.

Our last vacation meal on Whidbey was at this lovely Café. The vibe is welcoming and the staff did an excellent job with service & food prep. The menu has a Hawaiian twist on some of the offerings - including Spam! We enjoyed a well portioned omelet & breakfast burrito - both of which were stuffed with loads of zucchini, mushrooms, onions, peppers and broccoli. I highly recommend you try this place ... it also has a full lunch menu and is a lounge later in the day.
Farmer & The Vine focuses on Pacific Northwest wines and tapas providing guests an opportunity to sip, gather, and graze. We give guests an opportunity to sample wines from our flight menu or choose wines to enjoy by the glass or bottle. All beverages pai
My husband and I met friends at Farmer & The Vine for wine and conversation. It was our first visit. I'd have to say this is not an ideal place for conversation, as there were lots of people, even on a Wednesday evening, and the place was noisy inside. A slight disappointment arose when my husband ordered Irish Death (on the menu) and they did not have any. This is a fairly new place on Whidbey; nice decor, knowledgeable wait staff, and overall pleasant surroundings. My cabernet "For A Song" was smooth and delicious. Farmer & The Vine also offeres small plates, tapas-style, but we did not try that on this visit, as we were going out to dinner later.Thank you for visiting us. We recently started a weekly tasting event on Wednesdays at 5:30, so we are finding those evenings to be busier. So sorry that we ran out of the Irish Death prior to your visit, but glad you enjoyed the For Song Cab. We try to change up our wine list (by the glass and by the flight) often. We hope you will join us again to try something new as well as our chef-inspired PNW tapas. Hope to see you again soon!Jen

After waiting in line for twenty minutes we were expecting improved selections and service. Neither was offered. The person taking orders was slow and at times confused with requests. The biristas were very slow. No trays for taking food or coffees to tables. If this is the best they can do we will pass them up.

This is the time of year, November to find pumpkin donuts! They are delicious! Dine in, or take out. Itâs a delightful cafe with very friendly and accommodating staff. A full menu or, of course, special. Hand made donuts. They arranged the donuts especially for my photos! Flowers in the lovely garden, a back entrance through the Side Market complex.

Had a fantastic breakfast with friends at this delightful cafe yesterday. It's artsy-funky with a creative interior and a diverse interesting menu. Breakfast is served all day, and additional items appear at lunch (like chicken and beef pot pies). There's outdoor seating, too, for warm days. And there are scones, etc., for those who just want coffee and a little something sweet. What the four of us ordered will give you a pretty good feel for what's on the menu: a Monster Burrito (so big that when the waiter set it down, he said "good luck") redolent with green chiles and other Mex goodness, eggs benedict wherein instead of an English muffin and Hollandaise one gets a gorgeous biscuit and sausage gravy, a sausage and biscuit sandwich with fruit, and the "Irish Skillet" of sauteed corned beef and fresh cabbage over roasted potatoes. Usually topped with a fried egg, though I passed. Great coffee and all the usual drinks. Service is fine but minimal--you order and pay at the counter, and the food is brought to you as ready.

Looking for a place to take a friend from Florida with a Northwest flavor and this was it!! Worth a ferry trip from Seattle to Clinton on Whidbey Island, and a little drive through the woods (turn east on Crawford from the main highway 525) brings you to a coffee shop of classical Northwest design and coffee from beans roasted on site. You can tell it is a favorite of locals. We had a rich cup of coffee and a freshly baked pastry that was perfect for the occasion. They have a breakfast and lunch menu, also. It is an hour to an hour and a half trip from my house, including the ferry trip, and I'd do that just for a unique place to go for a cup of coffee!
