On our last day in VT before heading back to NH we went to this fantastic breakfast place. It didnât open till 8:00 on Sunday and we were a little early. Itâs a little hole in the wall and my sister was leary. My neice Kelly checked it out and said it was really cute inside. I would have gone anyway because usually its these litlle places that serve the best food. I had another incentive and that was to buy some of their pinwheels for a family outing later that day. Well it was very nice and so was the staff. The food was great. I had the Eggs Cassidy, poached eggs with hollandaise serve on corncakes wirh chili. Yum. My daughter had the lemon ricotta pancakes. I always forget to take a oic of my plate before I eat. The family loved the pinwheels.

We really canât go wrong with any choice of restaurant in Vergennes but the newly reimagined VL is our new favorite for a date night. So glad we made the time to try it! The prix fixe menu is full of great options and with everything included itâs a good value too. We will be back soon!

We enjoy coming here for Breakfast and lunch, the food is fresh and wholesome, prices are fair and we especially love their sandwiches. A lively atmosphere most of the time with outdoor seating which is nice during the warmer months. Recommended highly!

Overall the food we had for breakfast was average. Everything was good quality, but just ordinary in taste. I guess with all the rave reviews, we were expecting more. However, the staff was fantastic. Everyone from the waitress, to the hostess, to the bus girl :-)

Background: We were visiting a Lake Iroquois Camp over the winter and stopped by the Cafe for Snacks. The place was busy so we gave it a try.Verdict: We enjoyed all the desserts we tried, including the chocolate cake. At some point, we'd like to try breakfast, brunch or lunch as well!

Every town should have a place like this--comfortable, reasonable, casual, and friendly. That's worth four stars, but when the menu is creative and constantly changing to reflect local produce that is, as Thomas Jefferson say, "ready to come to table" then a fifth star is warranted. For dessert, walk to the corner and get a maple creemee.

This country store and restaurant is on the way to the ferry that takes cars and people across Lake Champlain to Essex, New York. We stopped to see the store and bought excellent fresh baked cookies and coffee.

We stop here about once every month to pick up pulled pork and buns for dinner. The deli choices vary with great options. The sandwiches are terrific. Yummy dessert choices. And the people who work there are so friendly and personable. The little store has many grocery and specialty items so it's great for locals and tourists. Just 50 yards off of route 7, on the way to and from the ferry which is convenient for lunch items, plenty of parking. They cater parties too.
