Stopped here for lunch. Food was good but not wow. Should have tried breakfast those dishes looked delicious. I was hoping for some fun sides but chips were normal every day chips and fries were from a bag. Will try again and see what breakfast is like.

Heading down Rte 1, my wife says âhey, turn around and go backâ...apparently these shoppes caught her eye so we had to check it out. As we pull in, we see this cafe and since I was hungry, we headed in. Simple, no-nonsense little cafe w/baked goods and stromboli. Odd combo right? We ordered a cheesesteak stromboli and a peach melba scone. Iâve had scones in the past that have been dry and crumbly, but not this. This ate more like a danish and was fantastic! I wish we had bought two, but stromboli was coming. Exceeded expectations! Full of flavor, sauce served on the side was great and we were satisfied! If you come here expecting this perfect little place, lower your expectations. If you show up counting on the food to be great, youâll be more than happy! Enjoy!

After ordering here, we proceeded to the dining area and what the? There was food on the black stained rug basically under or the tables. The tables were not wiped down, food soaked in the walls, and I mean it was disgusting. I wanted to leave and forget the food, but we were hungry so decided to eat. What a mistake, the soup was disgusting the sandwiches were terrible the only reason this place got a poor rating not terrible was because the mac and cheese side was good. Will never go back. Take some pride shoo ma and clean your restaurant. Should be embarrassed about the cleanliness.

Whole Foods has an entire section of prepared food buffet for you to select from starting with soup, salad all the way through an entrée. It is mainly measured by weight so be careful of the selections. They also have prepare dinner meal that can be taken home and heat up. The food is good and the selection is wide.

I am always hesitant at eating food at a tourist type cafe or destination. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. They had a nice variety of options. From your typical sort of grab sandwiches, to soup, salads, and even things like salmon. The one dessert case had some delicious sweet treats as well. The staff is nice. The price is on the high side though, so that part is consistent with the tourist thing. Overall a decent spot while visiting the gardens.

Stopped off after the lunch crowd and were seated immediately. Our server, Ying, was right over and took great care of us. The place serves breakfast all day, so I had the cinnamon bun French toast and the wife had a pretty good patty melt. The coffee was good and was refilled without having to beg. Big points there. Very reasonably priced and parking is right outside. Definitely give it a try.

What a charming little place, nice ambiance-great coffees, teas, scones-outstanding rich mushroom soup-great sandwiches, fresh mushrooms-get the idea?? just a little treasure on Balto-Pike! We went there first when we were visiting Longwood and then got soup and portobellos to take home to CT on way back--miss it a lot! It never disappoints!!
