We only had one experience here so far but it was very solid! We went for lunch on a Sunday morning. The restaurant was small but not overly crowded. Service was initially slow; another party was seated and seen to before anyone came to us so I had to ask someone for service but then service was excellent. The coffee and orange juice were great and I'm very picky about both. Our food came out literally 5 minutes after being ordered and the portions were good; not overly plentiful but enough. I ate every bite of my challah french toast with fruit and real maple syrup, and all my side of potatoes but my partner was less impressed with his eggs Benedict; the Hollandaise was apparently too vinegary and he was not a fan of the potatoes spiced VERY heavily with rosemary (more like roasted dinner potatoes than breakfast ones). All in all, we would go to this place again. It seems like the poor reviews are more from later in the day?

Anthony's Cheesecake is a cozy little restaurant on Washington St. In Bloomfield. The Entrees and appetizers are what you could call creative. They served "Irish Nachos" on St. Patrick's day. On other days they will have dishes that are a flair up and above the usual fare. Anthony and his staff are very personable. This is becoming a Bloomfield Institution. BYOB but they take good care of you. There is parking in a lot just a few feet around the corner. Easy to get to.

Montclair is known for its restaurants and The Corner holds its own against some stiff competition. Excellent baked eggs (kind of huevos rancheros-y), avocado toast (I toast the millennials for making this A Thing), chicken sausage, pastries, fresh juices. On top of that, great vibe and excellent service. Often crowded, but worth the wait and tables turn over fairly quickly. I have not been for lunch yet but plan to go back soon for that experience. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful and there are plenty of choices for picky eaters, foodies, vegans/vegetarians, gluten free folks, and piggies like me that eat it all.

We tried this place for Sunday lunch because we heard their crepes were very good. While we really liked our food, we were disappointed with the slow service. It's also good that we brought cash because they don't take credit cards.They offer a wide selection of crepes and sandwiches for such a little place. We really liked the crepes we ordered which included the smoked salmon, goat cheese, onion, tomato, pesto crepe and the Nutella crepe.It wasn't too busy when we visited, so I was surprised that our service was slow. We waited a while for our food and then again when we asked for our check. Not a big deal since we enjoyed the company we were with, but if their service was a good as their crepes then I would have given them 5 stars.

Went in to a last minute brunch with my family (9 total) on Sunday. A little bit of wait, but expected with a large group. The waiter was accommodating in that we were in two booths with different wait staff but ensured we got one check. He thoroughly explained our options to order custom dishes and was patient with my 81 year old mother who was unsure of her dish preference. Food was very good. My brother lives 2 blocks away, so Iâm pretty sure we will be back again. Thank you for the great service!

GREAT food all the time - made fresh generous portions & reasonable prices This is place you see town people all day.I ordered a grilled chicken salad it was huge & displayed so nicely everything in it was fresh. Also ordered a BLT loaded with crispy lettuce & bacon-tried THE FAMOUS Pappa TONYâS tomato Alfredo soup YUM itâs My new favorite soup comes with garlic bread so filling,It has shell pasta,chop Meat,parmesan cheese & a few veggies was just delicious..Choc Chip pancakes have a special flavor in it, u get 4 Big pancakes in an order- crispy fresh French fries were perfect : u can always tell if the oil is clean & it was. check out my pictures. This hidden GEM deli is owned & operated by John a family guy in town always personable & friendly, they appreciate ur bussiness & thatâs very rare @ other establishments.Johnâs mom is busy all day cooking & serving very sweet lady.Located on Pompton Ave next to The shoe maker & in between the gas station.You need to STOP by & have a great meal I promise you! You will be happy....

Cedar Bean is a great place to stop for morning or afternoon coffee. Sit down at the fireplace on a comfy couch, talk with friends or catch up with e-mails. The Cedar Bean has a private conference room for rent also. Perfect for a meet and presentation with TV and computer hook up. Selection of top quality sweets are available in the morning and Mac and cheese and wraps for lunch. A must stop when you are in Cedar Grove. Enjoy a freshly roasted, third-wave artisan coffee, and triple-filtered nitro cold brews, as well as teas, drinks, breakfast and lunch items, and snacks. Check it out. I will go back

Well worth the 45 min drive.. Great Intimate Cafe in Montclair the atmosphere and food are to die for !!! Nice welcoming Staff and the owner is very friendly and down to earth they make you feel like family and the decor is warm and welcoming.. We tried the Hong Kong waffle with homemade Salted Caramel Ice cream with a lot of Candied Bacon on top !!!! I called it a food orgy a must try!!!! The Cappuccino was really good just the right flavor !! We can't wait to go back try more of the menu!!! Good Value for your money nice portions... But the best part is smiling Staff!!!!
