I love the coffee here but the two girls were terrible wandered past the tables where there were dirty cups etc no intention of clearing away more interested in chatting between themselves. Got the impression Customers were a bit of a nuisance.

If you're visiting Bury St Edmunds you must visit this delightful authentic Greek cafe. Small and cosy serving traditional Greek food which includes, Meze (vegetarian or vegan) & Greek desserts. It also contains a small deli for which to buy ingredients. *Word of note, if it's full, 2 doors down is Cafe Kottani, which is also owned by the same people and equally as good!

Edmundo Lounge is an informal, neighbourhood food led cafe/bar where families, friends and local residents can come for a coffee and something to eat.
Lovely venue, comfy chair and sofas as well as proper tables. We sat upstairs, lots of lovely nooks and crannies! Found a brilliant table of crayons, books and colouring pads for our 3 year old son. Had tapas to share which was delicious, and children's menu is also good. Very relaxing and friendly.Hi Chembabe76,Many thanks for your review, we love to cater for both big and little loungers alike so we are glad your little one enjoyed the activities! we hope to see you in some of our comfy chairs again soon!Kindest RegardsRachel and the Edmundo team

Gastronome-me, Your all day and night cafe.
Gastrono-me used to be the go to place when visiting Bury, not any more. Both the food and the service is well below that what you would expect. It certainly isn't cheap either. The waitresses really had a could not care attitude about them, when you could find them. When the food eventually arrived it was well below par, both in presentation and taste.

The Bay Tree Cafe Bistro has been an integral part of St Johns Street, one the loveliest areas in Bury St Edmunds, for more than 15 years. Being one the oldest buildings in the street we have been careful not go overboard with modernisation by keeping the
We loved this independent cafe. Friendly service and delicious freshly cooked food. Our breakfast was one of the best cooked breakfasts weâve had. Great quality food and our toast was from a hand cut loaf, delicious. So much thought has gone into making sure customers have an enjoyable time there from providing newspapers and even thinking about the draught that might come from the door, there is a large screen there that prevents that. Lots of seating upstairs too where there are books that you can take for a donation to charity. The toilets are the best Iâve seen in a cafe too, again so much thought about customers needs. Beautifully decorated with extras that ladies might need even a special seat that has a flip down child seat, brilliant didnât know they existed.Highly recommended. Thank you so much for this amazing and much-appreciated review. All the Bay Tree staff, from back of house to front of house, have now seen it and enjoyed reading your comments. The whole team were delighted that not only did you love their food and service but you noticed the many other efforts they make to keep the Bay Tree a clean and comfortable too

We were turned away from another restaurant and stumbled by this one. They were friendly courteous and quick! The food was tasty and the menu eclectic. The burgers were lush and you can build your own!The childrenâs menu was different but the kids enjoyed both and the childs steak even made me jealous!I was also impressed with the cleanliness and atmosphere.Highly recommend!Thank you for your review. We try to be different in all things we do, including our children's menu. We think children should be able to get the same great food as everyone else, and that's exactly what we offer. We're pleased you've discovered us and hope you get a chance to discover all the different things we offer.

Local English-Greek Cafe
Cafe Kottani is bright and clean with a cheery atmosphere. The menu of mediterranean delicacies is varied and interesting. I was after a light lunch but, once I'd seen the tempting array of dishes behind the counter, frankly, I was tempted to pig out!I restrained myself and selected one of the very reasonably priced mezze selections on offer. The dish, when it came out, was generously loaded with a colourful and appetising selection of items, all of which proved to taste as good as they looked.Very good all round.

Came for lunch today after reading the reviews. We wasn't disappointed. The sandwiches were lovely and such a huge choice. Also the cakes looked delicious. There was a big choice of tables at the front and back. So lovely and clean in there. The staff were very friendly and chatty. We will definitely be returning when back in bury.
