Txikiteo [chee-kee-tay-o] Noun, def: a Basque word denoting a pub crawl or stroll with friends to partake in coffee, tapas, and wine. A modern experience where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served fresh using handcrafted, locally-sourced ingredients. W
Met another couple there for dinner this week. Didn't realize when we entered that you are supposed to go up to the bar and order your food (there were three signs with arrows telling us that, but we were looking for our friends, and missed them). We ordered both the cheese platter, and the charcuterie platter (each $22), plus a bottle of Cava, two desserts, and four glasses of wine for a bill of $126. So prices are reasonable. They only had 3 wait staff, so service was a little slow. We had to ask for table service items, and waited a long while before having to go to the bar to ask for our bill. We noticed it's a very laid back restaurant where many tables didn't turn over in the two hours we were there. They don't rush you to finish, and we liked that they offered samples of their many unusual wines (several Basque wines on their separate beverage menu).Thank you for the review. We'll look into the issue of unclear ordering directions! I'm glad you caught the relaxed, unrushed vibe--we want our guests to feel like they can settle with friends for an evening of wine and conversation. Gratefully--

I would say this is a lovely place to get breakfast or lunch. The food choices are mostly healthy. My Croque Monsieur wasnât healthy however it was extremely delicious, and came with a nice side salad. They also have quiche that looked very appetizing, and many other choices. They have indoor and outdoor seating when the weather allows.Staff were all very accommodating.

Come join us for seasonal, craft comfort food, with an emphasis on Local. Breakfast and lunch served Tuesday through Friday, and brunch on Saturday.
We had the opportunity of stopping at Wild Root during a Taste of Boise food tour. The bruschetta we tasted was amazing! It had chicken, butternut squash, mascarpone, candied walnuts, power greens, and balsamic vinaigrette. I would definitely plan to eat a full meal there the next time we are in town.

Made the mistake of coming here for the first time late in the morning on a Sunday. The staff was hustling, and I do mean hustling, they were doing a great job, but the there were more customers than tables. We took a seat at the counter when offered instead of waiting for a table. We never felt neglected even though they were slammed. I hesitantly ordered the #3 combo (eggs, bacon, french toast). I say hesitantly because usually you get a skimpy serving of french toast when you order a combo. I got two large slabs of french toast to go with my eggs any yummy bacon. So I was not disappointed. I will have no problem coming here again, although I may choose to come on a weekday next time so I can enjoy the yummy food without the wait!! Also was waited on by the owner at one point. She was friendly, funny and working her tutu off alongside her staff.

Breakfast and coffee here were good, though portions are just bonkers. Even by US standards, they are obscene; a guy next to us failed to get through enough biscuits and gravy for 4 people. The cafe is very busy with a line reaching out into the street the Saturday morning we went. Staff were really friendly.
