Inspired by French cuisine and Parisienne bistro style. Cafe Rouge is your local bistro to enjoy delicious food and gorgeous glass of wine.
Thank you to the really attentive staff, who were good fun and very professional. One of our steaks was over done and our waitress took it straight back and bought a fresh perfectly cooked steak back. We will be coming back as we havenât been here in a while and although we had to send the steak back our evening was a very enjoyable one thank you.

Despite booking a table, we were given a table right by the door which was drafty, and then asked to move and was told to sit somewhere equally as drafty. After our drinks order was taken, we waited another half an hour for our food order. When the waitress finally came, I asked if the moules could be made without shallots or garlic (as I am allergic). The waitress came back and said the sauce was already premade and the only things I could eat was a choice of several salads (which is shocking considering it was half 8 on a Saturday night). I questioned whether I could have the steak and she said she didn't know and went to check to find out it was possible. In the end the food we had was cooked lovely, it was just a shame the poor service of unprofessional staff, who were more concerned with having a cigarette in visible place, than actually clearing tables lt checking on meals. Sadly we will not back.

My colleagues and I popped into this hidden treasure for brunch didn't know what to expect because it is small inside and there was 4 of us. Nevertheless the reception we received was wonderful, warm and welcoming our every request was accommodated as best as possible. The food the atmosphere all 5 stars on our way back to work we all agreed that this would be our new lunch venue. Most of the food and deserts are made onsite by the owner absolutely delicious.

Birmingham's original award winning vegetarian restaurant & cafe. Situated at Birmingham Friends of the Earth in the heart of Birmingham's Digbeth area - the cafe has served vegetarian food for over 30 years. Now a community interest company and having be
A mid-week visit (with a Groupon) â sadly, not a review of the food because we never got any. This Vegan-ish café/restaurant which, while being close to the city centre, is in the unprepossessing back streets of Digbeth.I thought that the dining area was pretty scruffy (the state of the doors to the kitchen left a lot to be desired) and unattractive. It was quite busy, though a large area was occupied by people doing crafts. We were eventually greeted and seated and the limited menu âexplainedâ to us â there had been significant changes since Iâd purchased the Groupon, so we couldnât order the meal weâd expected. Nevertheless, we chose and ordered (at the counter). You collect your own cutlery and water. The person who took our order (I assume) passed it to the kitchen and then joined in the socialising around the craft table. So we waited...Then we waited...Then we waited some more...Some food came out to other tables, but not to ours...We were promised that âyours is nextâ, but nothing came. An hour after we arrived (we were, admittedly, a little early for our booking) we gave up and left. The whole time, I didnât feel that the staff were really engaged with their roles or their customers. It seems that this place is a co-operative, which should be a great idea but in practice seems to lack the organisation of somewhere that (presumably) wants to be taken seriously as a restaurant.I certainly wouldnât visit here again and I do not recommend it.Hi Dr_Bob1, Thank you for your honest feedback, we are sorry to hear that you had an unenjoyable time and had to wait so long for food. Our one staff member that evening was feeling under the weather and admits their service wasn't as good as it usually is and apologises for this, and we were understaffed in the kitchen that day meaning that the wait on food took longer than normal, and although this was communicated to all customers before ordering perhaps this was missed in your case so we are sorry about that. We would say that unlike the old establishment that shut down, our cafe is a bar/cafe that serves hot food rather than a sit down restaurant with table service, and as such we don't offer table service but offer a more bar style casual approach with a self-service bar for cutlery. We hope this explains the change of service style perhaps you expected differently. Our cafe-bar style allows us to be more of a community space and hold events for all sorts of groups and organisations, which is important for our ethos. Sometimes this means that when events run, event attendees help out which may have caused you confusion over staff roles that evening. Regarding your feedback on our menu: Our food menu changes seasonally and gets adapted with new twists and specials all the time, and this aspect is important to us as an establishment so we have variation, and cook according to seasons, and it also allows creativity for our chefs to experiment and offer a more interesting menu to our customers. Having a limited menu size also enables our chefs to prepare all of our food freshly and cook it to order. It's always worth checking our website for new menu information or calling to check if there are dishes you are particularly wanting, but we always have on our classic Warehouse favorites. Our food menu is fully vegan, as is our bar and our cakes! Running a co-op is a full time job for everyone involved, but at the end of the day just because our structure is slightly different to most we are very much a regular business, and we believe that each and every member of our co-op having ownership, feeling involved in our project and gaining the skills and experience of running a catering business is worth the hard work - we have only been open since March and sometimes we make mistakes (like everyone does!) but we also get outstanding feedback much of the time and are sorry that you didn't get to experience this.We hope to see you back another time. Sorry for any inconveniences,Sam

This cafe is a must if you are ever visiting the Jewelry Quarter. The food is of a good quality, the staff are really pleasant and the price does not leave a hole in your pocket. The cafe caters for all day time requirements from a cooked breakfast, hot meals for lunch or just a sandwich which are huge by the way! With thick chunky bread and plenty of filling, why would you go to a supermarket to buy something made days ago which is probably going soggy and delivered in copious amounts of plastic. Hylton Cafe sandwiches are freshly made to order and can't be beaten. Don't miss out!

Great little hidden gem located in what some would deem a odd location, being based in Birmingham there is no denying that Ladywood is an area in much needed redevelopment but it's places like Gustami that put it on the map for the right reasons! My wife and i have visited here on a few occasions, it just dawned on me that on our last visit i have yet to write a TA review..so here it is! This place is a small family run cafe place that sells some well made home cooked style Italian dishes that simply are great to eat and great on the wallet too. We've had the lasagna and various other pasta dishes as well as the pizzas and on all accounts they have been superb, and the vegetarian choices are also very good. The dessert is also really nice, we normally go for the tiramisu however this time around i went for the chocolate cake and it was lovely and the wife as per usual she didn't move away from ordering the tiramisu. The service was good, we've been both mid week and weekends and at all times its been good. Always worth a visit and when the bill came to £30 which included 2 mains 2 sides 2 drinks and dessert this was brilliant. Will always be back.Hi Mak_SingThank you so much for choosing our little ristorante caffe Gustami.
