So busy and VERY NOISY had to move to quite room on the side arrrrr But was constantly annoyed by Flys. Food was good but so overpriced The girl that served us was loveyBut on noise and price alone, we will be trying somewhere else on our return to this fabulous country town

Bendigo's best kept secret! You'll find our restaurant style cafe tucked away at the rear of the Bendigo Art Gallery - but it can be accessed from Rosalind Park so you dont need visit the Art Gallery just to enjoy the Cafe. Family friendly, picturesque vi
We had a snack here after the Tudors to Windsors exhibition and were a little disappointed. The menu is quite limited which is ok as we all found something to order but the serving sizes were crazy for the prices. The scones were really small and not much jam and cream with them. The egg and bacon roll was probably the best pick but again the price didn't match the serve. The atmosphere is good and has a great view but I think you'd get better value walking a short distance to a local café and still have the same feel.

After visiting the Tudors to Windsors Exhibition at the Art Gallery across the road, three "late middle aged" ladies called in for a late lunch on the weekend. Although the place was full inside we were happy to sit outside as it was an unusually balmy day. They had heaters outside as well if needed. I ordered the chicken and corn pithivier with Jerusalem artichoke, roasted parsnip, spinach and carrot salad, my friends ordered a mushroom quiche with couscous salad and roast pork on cauliflower puree with sauerkraut. The food was delicious, and the staff were so welcoming and attentive. Couldn't fault a thing.

Met a friend here for lunch. Hadnt been here since they had extended/changed things around. It looked great inside. Busy and bustling.Easily got a table, even though it was flat out. Still order and pay at the counter. Did this and my coffee was quick to arrive. (No chai latte - they do have chai brewed tea.)Ordered the bruschetta which had pumpkin, spinach, pesto, avocado, mushrooms, goats curd on yummy bread. $17.90 for two slices was a great amount to eat without being too much. This came fairly quicky too considering how busy they were. All in all, a positive experience.

The Epicurean is first and foremost a cafe and it is a very good cafe. They always have a large range of very interesting gourmet salads and the coffee is consistently nice. However the thing that separates this cafe from most others is the excellent range of deli products available for sale. If you're interested in a top quality terrine or pate, or a beautiful French Brie then this place has it.

Came here for breakfast with my family. Hadn't been here for at least 12 months. The menu looked amazing. Hard to make a choice. I ended up ordering Notorious Pig. This had a hash (potato, zucchini, cheese) with haloumi, spinach, egg, pancetta. It was AMAZING. My coffee was also nice.My family had a mix of things from poached eggs to fruit loaf.We were all really happy with the food and the service.Great job Boardwalk.

Whilst visiting Bendigo we called by for lunch in the pleasant outside area in warm sunshine. Our pulled pork, fennel, apple etc on Ciabatta roll was really tasty, much more enjoyable balance of flavour & texture than the traditional coleslaw you usually get.We managed a table in far corner from the speakers, why oh why do they have to have such loud music especially outside. Those who wish to be blasted could sit inside.

Really helpful and friendly staff, great food, fresh ingredients, fantastic Spanish beer.4 of us came for Saturday lunch. The staff were very helpful with their suggestions. We weren't rushed, everything came at a nice pace which meant sharing the tapas was very easy.

Stopped here for breakfast after previous tripadvisor reviews. Good breakfast choices including vegetarian options. I had the pulled pork benny, which was good and my hubby had the scrambled eggs. Good portion sizes and god service. Unfortunately due to there being no free tables inside we sat outside, and opposite the cafe is a church where a preacher was loudly 'saving' us while we ate. Didn't spoll our experience too much.

Enjoyed a great lunch at this terrific little cafe in the heart of Bendigo. It's a noisey atmosphere but certainly not an issue. Staff are good and the service is reasonably quick. We all had different meals and two were very good but one was off the mark. The flavel balls were a little dry and not pleasant. Still the other meals were exactly what the menus. Good hearty not expensive meals. Will certainly do a return visit.
