Look, the French are some of the nicest and most hospitable people on earth (outside of Paris), but it's their darn country and not every menu has to be bilingual. So, just set up with that expectation, and pray a bit to Saint Julia (Child) for help. It will be good. I got the Roquefort burger with chips and loved the burger-- however, the fries/chips were a bit soggy. Superb local ketchup was available. My wife had the Salad Victor Hugo and absolutely loved it. The staff was very busy and service was a bit slow as a result but that's to be expected at the peak of lunchtime on the weekend and we were grateful for the table. Look, I was going to dock a point for the fries, as I think I give out five stars to freely, but, well, I had such a good time! Authentic food at good prices, 32 Euros for lunch, which is as good as it gets. The locals seem to love the place, and I really think I should have gotten the tartar, since all the locals were tucking into it with gusto. Great family atmosphere-- among the crowd was two infants and one could barely hear a occasional "goo", so I am very grateful for the well-behaved French children. Location is blocks from Saint Sernin's basilica, so very good place to kill some time waiting for the special exhibits to open. Great convenience store next door for your shopping needs after lunch!

The brunch at Açai is a rarity in Toulouse: it's not overpriced, and it's actually a proper brunch (a mix of breakfast and lunch dishes â many restaurants here think brunch is just late breakfast). The ingredients are fresh, and the dishes emphasize flavorful fruits and vegetables rather than the usual meats, cheeses and buttery sweets you often see elsewhere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-priced, well-portioned and tasty brunch.

A small but friendly vegetarian restaurant, the food was excellent obviously home made and they use only local suppliers. Staff very attentive and helpful. Gets busy as a result of being so good so avoid busy period such as lunch time maybe. Well worth visiting especially if you are vegetarian but equally good if not (and i'm not!)Hello,Thank you so much for your kind words ! It's always a pleasure to see that vegetarian and non vegetarian people like our restaurant. It start to get busy at lunch time, even more when the weather is good ! ;) Thank you again, hopefully we'll see you again when you'll come back to Toulouse !Sixta Toulouse Team
