We were a party of 18 from Scotland and went for lunch at this restaurant after an enjoyable morning boating on the lake. Our order was simple, with some wanting Schnitzel, others egg mayonnaise, and 6 people wanted just a portion of chips. Setting aside that it took over 90 minutes for 12 of us to receive our dishes, the incredible part happened when the waitress told the 6 people with empty plates that the restaurant had run out of chips. Offering the 6 disgruntled diners potato croquettes as an alternative, she then was seen leaving the restaurant at the end of her shift, leaving a young, new waiter in charge. The waiter seemed surprised that we were unhappy with the appalling service we had received. Those with food felt guilty and those without what they had ordered felt very let down. Rarely have I experienced such poor customer service. The waiter said he had no authority to reduce the bill and the manager wasn't at the restaurant. All in all, a disappointing experience which left us with a poor view of German customer service.

Wenn man mal schnell was essen will, sollte das Bistro eine gute Wahl sein. Das muss man sich aber wirklich gut überlegen. Leider ist der Service gerade zu Mittag eher schleppend. Also schnell konnte man diesem Tag schon mal vergessen. Die Karte ist klein und das ist auch gut so. Vor allem Burger und Pasta sind auf der Karte. Die Burger waren gut. Salat und Pommes waren jedoch praktisch ungewürzt, der Ziegenkäse in sehr groÃe Stücke geschnitten. Die Preise waren in Ordnung. Für mich war es wegen Service und Gewürzlosigkeit keine gute Werbung für das Bistro.

Also vorweg. Es war sehr lecker. Sowohl die Waffel auch auch die Torte. Der Kaffee war im altbackenen Kännchen serviert. Die Einrichtung wirkte eher Rustikal. Ich weià nicht ob es noch einen anderen Eingang gab aber der Zugang vom Cafe-Garten über die AuÃentreppe ist nur etwas für Menschen die keine Höhenangst haben und nicht gehandicapt sind. Im Detail sollte man vielleicht darauf achten, dass man die Waffel erst mit Puderzucker bestreut und dann das Besteck auf den Teller legt. In meinem Fall war es wohl anders, das Besteck war auch eingepudert. Ist nicht so angenehm.

Monatlich wechselnde und abwechslungsreiche Karte mit regionalen um saisonalen Produkten und in der offenen Küche kann man dem Koch sogar live bei der Zubereitung zuschauen.

Had a family day out at Moehnesee and popped into Neheim on the way back home. Gloriously warm and sunny Sunday afternoon. Best spaghetti eis I have had in ages! Great service , great menu.
