I stopped here for quick lunch and coffee. My salad was really good and made of fresh ingredients. Good service. Busy place but tables outside helped a lot. Decent coffee too.
Sycamore is a great addition to the Amersham cafe scene. No name sign up outside but look for the muted salmon pink paintwork. Inside seating is at small or long tables. There are a few seats outside for the occasional sunny day. Light, bright furniture and friendly, informal feel. Order at the counter, trying (in my case unsuccessfully) to resist the highly tempting cakes. The menu is short, a couple of salads, and flatbreads. These flatbreads are spectacular. I loved the fried spicy chicken thighs with harissa dressing and a green herby dressing as an extra (instead of garlic mayo, not for me but a swap was willingly offered). Copious amounts of salad on a thick but fluffy flatbread made this a perfect lunch. Having not resisted the cake, I tucked into a lemon crunch. This was delicious, with creamy sharp lemon filling topped with something light and sugary. Unhealthy, but the flatbread made up for that. Finished off with Darjeeling from a wide choice of teas (more than 2 cups in the pot).I was slightly disconcerted by the fact that lunch was to be eaten off a tray standing in for a plate, and embarrassed myself by checking that this was correct. My view is that plates are better, but then I donât like eating off slate tiles either!Total bill with service (voluntary) was £14. The staff team were friendly and polite, and helpful. I will be back soon.

We had walked from Amersham to Chesham, and were looking for somewhere to have lunch, being very tired and hungry. We found this delightful, small restaurant, which has lovely old beams. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the food delicious. The filter coffee and tea are replaced free of charge! We found this place accidentally, but it is a little gem and we will definitely be returning.

We rented in Chesham for nearly a year and visited many times, mainly for breakfast or a Saturday brunch. The Full or Veggie breakfast being a personal favourite and the fish finger sandwich being what my girlfriend ordered nearly everytime! Friendly, attentive staff, faultless food, and easy on the wallet. We always took friends there, never had a bad experience, a must try!

As a family of four weâve had the pleasure of visiting The Drawing Room on numerous occasions over the past few years and it is quite simply a sublime, hidden treasure. Richardâs (the owner) passion for new, mostly young musicians - all of whom must be singer songwriters is simply infectious. Very rarely does his selection of musicians disappoint - and the venue is so intimate both the audience and the musicians are guaranteed a very special experience. Moreover, at circa £25 per head (less for kids and you can bring your own wine if you so wish) including delicious âhome cookedâ style food and a quirky, comfy environment itâs a unbeatable combination. And if for some reason live music is not your thing you can also enjoy other evenings of readings, poetry or other ecliptic arts experiences or simply call in for a delicious breakfast or lunch! what a delightful read, thank you. I'm so glad your gang have embraced this place so warmly and authentically...bless you, see you all soon.xr

The Grocer at 15 is the second shop in Old Amersham from this partnership. Same great coffee, same great service, a mediterranean style menu and some delicious new cakes too. Eat in or take away.
We stopped in Amersham after a Sunday afternoon walk in the South Bucks Way. Too late in the day for a big lunch, especially when faced with the counter full of homemade cakes. My husband and I shared an open sandwich with avocado, feta, lime and chilli on thin-sliced rye toast. It was really tasty, but it was fully matched by the gorgeous coffee and walnut cake, a latte and a cappuccino. We sat at a table in the window and enjoyed everything. A
