The best home cooked food you are likely to find in a prime spot within the market town of Alnwick. Enjoy a menu which suits all variety of tastes. We very much look forward to welcoming you here.
Stop of for breakfast one morning and decided to give this place a try. Ordered a full English and hubby ordered the double breakfast both come with unlimited tea or coffee. Did take long to be served and the girls seemed friendly. Breakfast arrived and have to say it was lovely, donât expect a fancy fancy breakfast but this was exactly what it was a good cooked English breakfast. Sausages were particularly nice. Place is a bit tired looking but that wouldnât put me off. The menu seems basic but itâs a cafe and it is what it is. Would recommend this place and will go back if 8m ever in Alnwick again. A good outside seating area too for dogs .

Northumbrian cafe located 800 yards from the A1 (just off the B6347) , serving and stocking local produce, including Pilgrims Coffee. Alongside the cafe there is a gallery featuring Richard Dunwoody's photography and many other local craftspeople's work.
Wonderfully welcoming cafe on a farm. Lovely locally produced food and delicious coffee and cakes. Some dramatic seascape photos, taken by former jockey Richard Dunwoody, on display. Andrew is a very friendly host and dogs are very much encouraged! Highly recommended.Hi Andrew. Many thanks for your review of our little cafe. It was great to meet you.We are attracting more and more dogs (and their owners) thesedays. Our agility course in the garden adds a degree of fun for them. Dogs are very welcome in the cafe, as well as the garden. We hope to welcome you both back one day. With kind regardsAndrew and The Rocking Horse team

Tucked away down a closed off part of the high street, this little shop serves all things tasty. We only had room for cakes, but my raspberry coconut tart was a treat.Prices are reasonable and service is brisk.

We have eaten at the Running Fox in Felton many times, so we decided to try the latest Running Fox in Shilbottle on our way to Alnwick. We chose the "Special" of the day which was a hot beef sandwich served with spicy wedges. The sandwich was HUGH! The offer of endless coffee tops was greatly appreciated.

Bari [baa-ree] - Lovely in Northumberland. Contemporary tea brewery, with a traditional Northumberland heart: fine teas and teaware to try before you buy. Open 7 days during school holidays, closed Tues & Weds in Term time. Please check our website for de
Waited for a table with my husband and 8 year old for lunch. They only serve soup and scones for lunch. Board advertised 2 soups. Got given the menus. Still no one mentioned theyâd only got one soup left. When we ordered, we got told it was hot chilli and not suitable for our daughter. We asked if she could try a teaspoon as she actually enjoys lots of flavours, and they said no. Apparently it is in portions? Presumably the trouble of heating up a portion of the only thing you sell was too much trouble for your potential customers whoâve been hanging round for 10 minutes. So thereâs nothing to eat? I asked. Waitress huffed back that the soup had been being served for ages and was all gone, as though we were perhaps a bit fronty to rock up at a cafe for lunch at 1.30pm. Not a great deal of choice in neighbouring places unless you want things with chips, so be mindful before you wander into Alnwick planning to come here, they may have nothing to eat at lunchtime at all.

Cafe and bed and breakfast serving excellent quality locally sourced Northumbrian produce.
We were recommended this cafe and it didn't disappoint. The coffee & cakes were delicious and as it was sunny we were able to sit outside in the lovely courtyard. The staff were very hard working in this busy cafe. Thank you!!
