I went here for the first time bank holiday Monday with two mates. I found the managers attitude very unprofessional. I will not be going there again.

Cafe/Bistro
We frequent Abergavenny often, generally early and enjoy a mid morning coffee in various establishments. The Trading Post is on our list - it is generally pay first and a waiter/waitress brings the order to the table. The shop is generally well patronised and staff are very obliging.

It was a lovely first visit to this quaint Victorian tea room, with a wide variety of wonderful large cakes, and lovely soups and sandwiches, al priced very reasonable. We sat in the room at the back of the cafe, which had a very nice comforting feel, almost like visiting a long gone Nan. The amount of things to look at brought back memories from a child, I really enjoyed my visit. The three ladies serving and cooking were very attentive and although the whole place filled up quickly as it was lunch time, they all managed to get everyone's food and drink orders sorted without looking over-stretched.I will return for some more lovely food/drinks in wonderful bone china, and to just gaze around the glimpse into history.

What a great place hidden away in Abergavenny. Surrounded by art, excellent lunch menu, kitchen on show, top quality food, professional staff, whilst still being unhurried and laid back. We were a table of five, and the value was fantastic. Probably the highlight meal from our trip to Wales.

Warm, friendly and family run! Hot and cold drinks, All day breakfast, Homemade lunches, Snacks and homemade cakes.
Visited Wendy's cafe with my family (including two children, 9 & 6) for breakfast recently as we were going horse riding and wanted a good start to our day.All I can say is that Wendy's cafe excelled themselves. We all chose something different from the menu with my granddaughter choosing to 'build her own breakfast'Our waitress was pleasant, polite & attentive and accurately recorded our varied choices. Our food was served freshly cooked & piping hot after a short wait. All of our meals without exception can only be described as superb including the most delicious bacon and doorsteps of fresh bread! As others have said the bill was a very pleasant surprise at just under £21 for all of us (3 adults & 2 children, 1 of whom sampled a little off everyone else's plate rather than have a meal of his own!)We will, without doubt, return to this wonderful traditional cafe. Wendy & staff...thank you sincerely, you, your food & your cafe made our day extra special. Abergavenny should be very proud of you!

An ideal stopping point for hungry shoppers to rest awhile before browsing at the beautiful products in store. With such beautiful surroundings, why not treat yourself or a loved one to a fresh cream scone? Once inside simply find your way to your table w
Had a Breakfast at 11am(stops 11.20)today Sunday 4th August, served by the friendly Fjona, and we opted for a full Welsh and a mini Welsh breakfast....both cooked to perfection, with quality local produce. And a special offer of a free Americano or Tea with a main breakfast everyday made it even better, you also get a lovely home made mini shortbread heart with a hot drink, which is a nice touch. The toilets are always spotlessly clean, the ambience is just right, and you can always look around the wonderful shop after your meal. With an abundance of eateries in Abergavenny this place will not disappoint, we have tried other places but always return, as the quality here is excellent. They also have a small garden area which is nice especially when its sunny.

A beautiful, quaint, family run tea room set in the idyllic Monmouthshire countryside. Situated on the old Abergavenny-Skenfrith rd (B4521), Red Castle Tea Room is a perfect place to take a break and soak up that country atmosphere. Serving... All day bre
Following a visit to white castle we stopped off when passing by for a drink and snack. Gorgeous little tea room. The most amazing smell hit us on getting out the car as they were preparing Sunday roast. You have to book for this so shown upstairs to great room where we had coffee and hot chocolates with scones and cake. We all enjoyed it. To end our visit off we walked around the green house afterwards and bought some beautiful primroses.Thank you for your kind review. Best wishes, Anne

Absolutely beautiful little spot to enjoy a light lunch and drink after climbing Skerrid mountain, only a few feet away. Beautiful food and friendly staff make this a must. Reasonably priced food and drink and great atmosphere. Scenery is breataking, and the surrounding land is worth looking at. Highly recommended, will definitely return. Jaffa cake ice cream was also a highlight.

Nice to have this place open again after a few weeks of being closed for refurbishment. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed so had to wait a short while for a table. The food was great (as it always is) and represented superb value. Worth a try!
