Inle Heritage is a not-for-profit organization that preserves the nature and culture of Inle Lake that is funded by our accommodation, restaurant, gift shop and cooking classes. Inthar and Shan dishes that we serve are created from time-honoured recipes.
The place is great in the sense that the service is excellent and the food very well presented. When coming to taste the experience goes âsosoâ as most of dishes were missing taste up to tasteless. At the end come the worse : the terrace looks great .... until you hear the noise of the first boat passing ... when over 50 boats pass during your lunch it ends up becoming an unpleasant experience. The price is in the very high side of the average without being outrageous.

I was on my own, so I was looking for somewhere nice and comfortable to have dinner. Well, Zu Zu and her staff made me feel so welcome that I ended up going three times for dinner. The food was excellent, so were the juices (omg the avocado juice!). Easy to find vegan dishes. And everything was expertly prepared and fresh. Super friendly staff and just an all around great vibe. Miss that place.

The Restaurant Owner Ma Zar, she used to work in Thailand for almost two decades and returned to Myanmar to open this small restaurant in Nyaung Shwe. With her 20 years of working experience and bubbly personality, she and her friendly young staffs never fail to give great service and food to their customers. If you are looking for lunch / dinner or a good place for dessert, don't miss it and try their Thai, Myanmar and Shan Cuisines and homemade Ice Cream in different flavors!

We were keen to visit this restaurant after the great reviews and the support that the owner provides to local women. The homemade drinks were lovely and I can highly recommend the excellent lemongrass chicken noodle soup. My husband enjoyed his pumpkin curry and my children liked the chicken and vege curry. Unfortunately the service was very slow, but donât let this put you off (just come a bit earlier, before you are starving...). The building is very cute and small. Our waitress (I think she may have been the owner) was really lovely and spoke good English. There was a small selection of items for sale (including some bamboo straws and wooden spoons)We really enjoyed our visit to Paw Paw and recommend it to others.

Totally loved everything about our experience eating at Sin Yaw. The service, food and atmosphere was fantastic. And the bathroom clean too. Sin Yaw specialises in local Shan-Style food cooked over a charcoal fire which gives the meat a beautiful smokey flavour. There are a range of dishes to suit local or foreign tastes but we chose the Shan traditional set meal platter with 8 different Shan foods (pictured). OMG so delicious! The pork and Inle Lake fish are both a specialty at Sin Yaw and just so good. The Shan tofu and accompanying vegetable sides are equally good. For drinks my partner had beer and I had a glass of white wine. Initially I didnât love the wine but when paired with the mildly spiced food it turned out to be the perfect match. The staff are very attentive and saw I perhaps was not fussed with the wine so immediately offered to give me an alternative drink. I decided to push on with the wine and so glad I did as it was the perfect food match as already stated and I was considering ordering a second glass but then I saw the lime & mint drink on the menu (a favourite) so went for that. Bliss. On arrival you are also given a wet cloth to wash your hands and insect repellent. A nice touch.

I took a tuk tuk here from Nyaungshwe town. I did not want to cycle. And it was well worth it. The place is beautiful with excellent views. Very nice juices/fresh drinks. The owners are very nice and welcoming. The food is excellent, tasty and large portions. It is super easy to find the vegan options. Just watch out that at the end they may bring out a banana dessert with honey, which isn't vegan. I didn't realise that would happen or I would have asked them not to make that for me. I am very glad I went there.

We had to walk a distance from the Red mountain winery all the way to this secluded restaurant which was highly ranked on TripAdvisor. The restaurant also has an area where it conducts cooking classes. We were the only guest for the night when we visited and the owner shared that we were the 3rd customers for the day. They had a welcome drink when we arrive, and we ordered two of the fish dishes, a vegetable and fried rice. Nothing to fault on the dishes, food was probably the best we tasted here. The cooking time was a little long though, where we waited close to an hour for our food, which were all served at the same time. There were lots of mosquitoes while we waited. A pity they do not sell desserts other than the local fruits. The owner was very nice, she helped my wife and I to book a taxi, that drove all the way from Nyuangshwe to send us back to our hotel at the Novotel and shared with us quite a number of stories and happenings around the area. Explaining how tourism has kinda fallen over the past few months particularly with new violence and fighting occurring at the border of the Shan state. This place is well recommended and definitely worth a visit.
