Cosy tea room with the friendliest staff! Best afternoon tea I've eaten and excellent value for money, with scones and cakes to die for! Would recommend to everyone!

Great little cafe and lovely staff. Loads of healthy options including a slimming world special....which if it is syn free...was excellent. Not a critism hence the 5 stars but the coffee, hmm you have Salford Roasters on your doorstep, get them in, much tastier. Overall it's excellent and I recommend it wholeheartedly.Hi michelinadviser, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your kind review. We're really pleased you enjoyed your experience with us. The Slimming World Special certainly is syn free and it's a very popular dish. One of our favourites. We're glad you enjoyed it. Thanks too for the coffee recommendation. It's always helpful to know what flavours our customers prefer. Thanks again, The Bexters Team x

I was seriously impressed with this local cafe, which offers a range of fun classes for young children and toddlers! From the minute you step into this family-owned business, it's clear how much love and hard work has gone into every tiny detail. From the branding, to the colour scheme, to the hand picked cakes and amazing coffee (no seriously, this isn't like the food in your average kids cafe!) they have thought of everything. Even down to the babywipes on each table! It makes parents feel comfortable, a place where they can connect and relax while the little ones burn off some energy! In terms of the food, the choice available feels like a little piece of the Northern Quarter or Soho, but in Boothstown. I had the avocado on toast which was amazing and was happy to see them offering the most delicious vegan cakes too!Love it!

Itâs not always about the food, youâve got to provide great service as well! Luckily this place has got it all. From the moment we walked in we were looked after, the staff had a great sense of humour and were very happy to stop and chat as well as make recommendations on what we should try. Food was excellent , well prepared and presented superbly. There wasnât a bad choice on the menu but have a go at the meatballs they were just fantastic.

A bizarre layout eating in the food preparation area, the advantage was we saw the food being cooked. Although we received a warm welcome and the service was reasonable, the food was very disappointing.Sirloin steak was pretty chewy, and the Christmas dinner was comprised of Turkey from a roll, and not freshly carved Turkey. We also did not expect vegetables from the microwave. Value for money the place is expensive, the bill being a lot more than some of the top Manchester restaurants. Certainly won't be gracing this establishment again. As you probably gather from the majority of our reviews we love trip advisor but it unfortunately does give unqualified people a platform to critique restaurants, the turkey you saw from your ringside seat was in fact a large turkey breast, readily used in restaurants throughout the uk, we cook all our vegetables daily and refresh them in ice cold water, using a microwave, an item of equipment also readily used in modern restaurants, to bring them back to temperature when needed. As for your steak you could have said something when I asked you personally was everything ok and we could possibly have had a better resolution, however I am sorry you found your well done steak chewy. In most walks of life a lack of knowledge by so called experts can be dangerousRob

Now been going to the waterside for 12 years, it just doesnât disappoint . From front of house to bar staff the whole team are top notch. Food is second to none and a credit to everyone involved. The waterside is also a must in the summer as the beer garden overlooks the canal and there is nowhere in the vicinity that can compare to this place. Keep up the good work guys!!Hi Thank you for taking the time to review the restaurant with such lovely feedback. We will pass on to the team here at the Waterside. See you very soon. Best wishes Jo

visited here 03/11 for some Sunday morning Brunch receptionist was very friendly and so were the staff I ordered duck hash which was lovely, my girlfriend ordered the avocado on toast. When she received it her poached eggs were quite cold She told the waiter and he immediately asked if she wanted replacement eggs or a fresh meal. She asked for a fresh mean and it came back in about 5 mins with piping hot eggs. very good service I think you can tell a good resteraunt by the way they deal with complaints Not been to Alberts for a while, but I am going to make more of an effort to get there in the future. we are lucky to have such a good bar / resteraunt on our doorstepsHi Paul T, thank you so much for writing into us with this lovely review, we pride ourselves on creating unforgettable customer service experience and it really makes the teams day when we relay you positive feedbackThank you again for writing in to us and really hope to welcome you back in again soon.Just because we think you may find it of interest, we are holding a Christmas Market Fate on Sunday 15th December with loads of little local business and we will be putting on Christmassy mini treats and mulled wines etc we think you would love this. Vintage Ambiance is a relaxed neighbourhood tea room by day and a modern restaurant by night. Open all day for breakfast, lunch, dinner & cocktails.
Decided to take a spontaneous trip to Vintage for lunch and was not disappointed. The waitresses very kindly put up with me moving to three different tables as I tried to find the one I felt most comfortable at, and were very efficient throughout my meal. I ordered the childrenâs chicken burger with fries, and it was SUCH good value for only £5!! A good-sized chunk of very thick and juicy chicken breast on a toasted English muffin - absolutely perfect, not greasy at all but cooked to perfection. The fries werenât skin-on fries like they used to do, but were still tasty nonetheless, and I was given a heaping mug full. Most importantly, it all came out piping piping hot, you could tell it was 100% fresh. Sidenote: I am glad I ordered the childrenâs burger, I saw the adultâs chicken burger come out and it looked very very big! (but I guess that just means even BETTER value for money!). Delicious food in generous quantities, no waiting around, lovely atmosphere, kind and attentive staff - what more could you ask for?!
