Tearoom...Serving Full lunches, Sunday roasts, afternoon cream teas, full afternoon tea, illy coffee by our trained baristas. Set in the surroundings of Carburton Water Meadows..Fisherman/Bird Watching Paradise..... Excellent Home Made meals
Our first visit even though weâve passed it dozens of times and we were very pleasantly surprised. It is so quaint, very nicely decorated with plaques on the walls which are available to buy and the building is beautiful with tables outside to enjoy the weather, when we get it. Letâs get to the food....an extensive menu which includes vegetarian and Vegan options which is a big plus. We had lunch, hubby had a sandwich which came with a decent size side salad and crisps, whilst I had a panini which came with a side salad and we both agreed that the food was delicious. I had tea with my lunch and got 3 decent size cups from the teapot . They have a wonderful range of cakes ( which included gluten free options ) and scones, which I didnât succumb too but Iâll be definitely returning for! My only criticism would be the ambiance, I think that it would be perhaps an idea to have music playing in the background and that is literally the only thing I could give as a negative. We will be returning and Iâve already asked friends to meet there for a coffee and a cake.

Nice little cafe with a range of drinks available. Plenty of parking available. Bright room with craft work decor, all for sale. The only area for improvement would be the staff, nobody smiles, improve customer service and friendliness and this will be a 5 star cafe.

Quality, award winning family run fish & chip restaurant and takeaway (est. 1966). 80 seats, air conditioned, heated. Large car park suitable for coach parties. Open 7 days a week. Varied menu includes gluten free.
Just called for 2 portions of regular cod and chips. When we got home we were shocked at the small size of fish. It was half the size it usually is with a lot less chips. Always go here and get a box full of lovely food but not today. Hi, not sure what's going on here. The portions are measured out the same as they always are. The fish are all cut and weighed the same as they always are. It is very difficult to deal with a complaint via Trip Advisor, you would be far better off contacting the shop on 01909 478760. This is the only complaint we have received of this nature, you may note that the latest review said the portions were too big.. so I can only presume you've been given the wrong meal or there was a communication breakdown? Let me know next time you pop in. Regards nick

Miss Poppy's is a hidden gem amongst the furniture of Eyre's of Worksop. We had jacket potatoes with prawns on one and chilli on the other. Both were really good. Looking at some of the main meals that were saved on to the other tables I may be tempted to have one next time.We finished with cake and coffee and there were no complaints. Try this place...you won't be disappointed.

Dog friendly pub/restaurant offering great British seasonal dishes using locally sourced ingredients, served in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Very nice surroundings, nice staff but meal was a let down. Not lot of choice on menu. We opted for seafood legiune only to be told it wasnât seafood but only crab. The pasta was over cooked and very greasy. The desserts also had to be a second choice. Chocolate brownie very dry so not particularly pleasurable meal. Wonât be going back in a hurry. As it was not particularly cheap, would expect better.

We are quite regular customers - so get notified of offers but being busy meant we had not been since the Summer. As half-term treat, we took grand-daughter. She enjoyed her Mac & Cheese with garlic bread (although Gran thought it was a little bit bland). The adults enjoyed Lamb Shank (a regular choice) plus the new Baked Cod Loin (for the fish lover) and the new Beef & Doom Bar Pie - both judged to be very good.Daughter & grand-daughter shared (and enjoyed) a Belgian Waffle to finish. As we always find; the staff were friendly and helpful - hence the return visits.

We stopped off here, as one of us had a ticket for a tour of the Abbey. It was an extremely hot, sunny day and yet all the staff were so friendly and welcoming to us and and other customers. From where we ate our brunch, I could see, the man I assume to be the manager, checking with ourselves and others that everything was okay, making friendly conversation. I could see other staff, making sure that the customers dogs had water. We enjoyed our food and although didn't have any, there was a fantastic choice of cakes that were very popular. Definitely recommend a visit here as part of your day, if visiting the Abbey, gallery, farm shop or garden centre.

We used to enjoy eating here but our meal last night was awful..i asked if they had a new chef and they said no..service was slow and little personality..salad was very boring not like it used to be and the chicken was very thin and swimming in oil/butter and the steak was disgusting it was very fatty and lots of gristle running through it..the fudge cake was a small thin slice and not worth the money very disappointed...£48.00 in total for two..a total waste of money wont be going back there in a hurry its changed for the worse

Booked a table for 11 family members to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. From start to finish we can't fault the welcome, service and food we received. The food was all freshly cooked and delicious. We will definitely book our next family get together here.
