The Jolly Farmer pub and Aahar Restaurant offers you Nepalese, Indian and English food with lunch special menu at £6.95 (including soft drinks, Mon to Fri 12-5pm). Where you can enjoy live music, live sports, Sunday Roast and BBQ summer party in our peace
This is the 3rd year running we held our event at 'The Jolly" and once again their welcome was second to none. We were a party of 30 and everyone said how great the food was. I would thoroughly recommend this venue for any occasion. Brilliant!

I went in last Sunday for a roast and some drinks with my partner. We were greeted at the bar and were brought down to the restaurant. We were promptly brought water by our delightful young waitress âtanwenâ(a Welsh name we were told). We ordered a glass of wine and a larger which we got quickly. Tanwin returned to take our order shortly after and recommend the beef, to which we both obliged. Our roast beef was delightful, but could have done with a bit more. We shared a sticky toffee pudding and left very happy. Will be back again!

Rude rude rude. Our last ever visit. I'm not a wine connoisseur but I ordered pinot grigio as its very dry. The wine I received was sweet. I questioned them. Was told it was pinot. Ok. Accepted that . Was told I'd have to pay for it. Ok. So ordered a beer instead. It didn't arrive. Because we had now upset the staff they then ignored us. We sat for 40 minutes before they asked us for our order. Wrecked our Saturday evening. I work hard and I wish I'd gone somewhere elseSianb832, We work hard to provide a fantastic experience to everyone. So it's really disappointing to see that we clearly missed the mark this time.I can reassure you that this is not the usual standard of service we provide our guests with and your feedback is taken very seriously and discussed with the team to make the necessary improvements. With this reassurance, hopefully you will give us a second chance and visit us againKindest Regards

Had a lovely Sunday lunch and first sitting of the day & chefs r good. Shocked bottle of wine ordered just put on table And not even opened for us or checked thatâs what we ordered. Then to find out the person who did this is the Manager is a shame but maybe they were having a off day. Food was lovely but could have been hotter or plates warmed up to keep food warm while eating.Hi Livvy68, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. I'm disappointed to hear that you are not satisfied with your visit, and I'd really appreciate the opportunity to turn it around. Please can you get in touch when you have a spare moment 0118 978 4222

A traditional country pub serving fine food, wines, draught ales and lager. An informal setting in the heart of the Berkshire countryside, easily accessible from Reading, M4 and London. A great place to celebrate, meet clients, enjoy a Sunday roast or jus
Called in here for the first time last Saturday and it will not be our last. Charming country inn with a nice selection of decent ales and a good food menu. Like a lot of places these days seems to cater mostly for people wishing to eat, but a fair few people outside and in the garden. Warmly greeted and shown to our table in a cosy little booth type setup, very nice touch. Service was all smiles unhurried but efficient.Starters were paprika dusted whitebait, huge portion easily shareable couldn't really detect the paprika, no matter, it was delicious. The other was a duo of melon with parma ham again really good. Mains were seabass, nicely cooked with a crisp skin and calves liver, cut a little thick but ok for me, both dishes very good. No room for desserts but finished with coffees. Total cost of meal £77.60 included on the bill was a 10% service charge. The service charge grates with me but I felt was worth it do said nothing. Feel service should be my decision not theirs! There is a circular walk starting at the pub which we will try next time. Well worth a visit.

As a complete surprise I was taken to Riseley village hall tea rooms. It's an uninspiring 1960's building from the outside but the inside holds a nice surprise. Pretty tables laid with vintage crockery and linen table cloths add to what is an unexpected delight. The tea was yum and we were all given a choice of tea type and our own individual pots which were replenished frequently. Around the room were various items for sale, cards, antiques, jewlery Lots to add to the ambience. The ladies who run the tea room are charming and fully deserve the success they are having. Little step back in time. Lovely.

I believe the Castle Inn has been under new management for about the last six months and is gaining a strong local reputation for its restaurant.
Just had a Burger this time. Burger fine, home made, but served on a slate.I know that is the modern way of doing things this way but the food goes all over the place.Decent bottle of Spanish Wine.

The menu choice for breakfast is great. I enjoyed perfectly poached eggs on toast with avocado. Absolutely delicious. Quick service and friendly staff. The cafe seems to be undergoing some renovations at the moment so it's not as aesthetically pleasing as I'd imagine it normally would be but dont let that put you off!

At Cozze we aim to provide simple and fresh food with a warm and friendly service in a clean and nicely decorated surroundings. We cater for all age groups, families welcome.
Family meal, so we were quite a large group but service was as good as ever, very efficient and as always friendly. My pasta dish was generous to say the least and the garlic bread (as a side order) perfect.Wonderful open kitchen so you can see whatâs going on, the chefs work hard to ensure orders arrive promptly, but we never feel rushed.Deserving to be No 1 in the area here on Trip Advisor!
