We attended a wedding here and everything was wonderful from the beautiful garden, fountain to the marqee type reception venue. Let's starst with the church which is 900 years old and it was very quaint and dignified. The outside manicured lawn with green lushes and shrubberies were just perfect for drinks and canopies that is the charm of this venue. It was so nice to mingle outside with guests while having drinks etc. Beautiful spot for picture taking. It was so much more enjoyable that a typical hotel wedding. The marquee for reception was also air conditioned so was pleasant.

Staff go above and beyond tweaking menu option slightly where possible.Very good size portions, reasonably priced and cooked well, all for only a pound or so more than your big standard budget pub chains.Would encourage people to support a family ran pub for a change, I think you'd be surprised.

Welcome to The Green Man, situated in the idyllic village of Little Braxted and located conveniently to the A12. Stunningly refurbished, the interior is a clever blend of old and new with oak beam & log fires to keep you warm in the winter. In the kitchen
Bit chilly, excellent service. Had roast beef. Meat was juicy and tender, roast pots nice, Yorkshire nice but mashed parsnip? red cabbage? ..not what you want with a roast dinner..roast parsnip..yes. The main thing that let the meal down was BISTO GRAVY??!! YUK could have sliced it.. it was so thick. Why would the chef waste all the juices from the meat and not make proper gravy. C'Mon chef ...make your own gravy, you're letting the restaurant down.

A friend had recommended it us several times but were apprehensive about trying. We tried it today and was not disappointed. I had cauliflower cheese with salad coleslaw and new potato toes excellent and my husband had a club sandwich with trimmings followed by a large slice of bread pudding and we had a large pot of tea. Excellent value for money the food was freshly prepared. Very busy place. Try it you wonât be disappointed

The Tea Rooms was established in May 2009 by Lisa-Jane Spence at Olivers Nurseries, Witham. The traditional family owned tea shop soon blossomed as it began to offer full English breakfasts, homemade soups, quiches and daily specials in addition to its ar
Doesnât look very exciting from outside but donât be fooled, go in and eat. Everything is freshly prepared so donât be in a hurry. Had a lovely ham baguette, friend had a chicken sandwich which was more interesting than it sounds, see pic. Lots of interesting cakes on the counter.....and covered too! Pet hate of mine to see uncovered food but theyâve got that nailed!Wheelchair access and the cleanest toilets Iâve seen anywhere for ages! Always a good sign!Do I recommend? YesWill I go back? Of courseWow! We pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients to create our meals each day. The cleanliness of The Tea Rooms is often commented on and we are sticklers for clean toilets and covered cakes too! Thank you for your lovely review and we look forward to seeing you again. This time, just my wife and I had lunch at the Cross Keys. If anything, our experience was even better than our last visit. Friendly staff, a thoroughly decent house red, a superb meal, hot, generous with immaculate presentation and delicious. An extremely pleasant pub with great atmosphere. Certainly my favourite place to put on the nosebag!

This was our first visit and it was really good. Motherâs Day meant we had to wait a little while for our table but it was worth it. Roasts were enormous with veg served separately and the Beef Bourguinon was fabulous so tender and tasty. I felt really full, but managed to squeeze in a baguette bread pudding with cranberries and creamy custard, also the apple pie looked really good again with creamy custard. The young man who looked after us couldnât do enough for us and altogether it was a great experience. As I said first visit but not the last.Hello Mo H! Thank you for finding time to write this review. Motherâs Day was extremely busy for us and we tried our best to make our customers happy. We are glad you would like to visit our restaurant again and we are looking forward to cooking for you!
