Our local chippy use to be great. But the last three times it has not be good. The last time the chips were awful, the fish was watery and I would say under cooked, the batter used to be lovely but it was horrible, thick soggy inedible. Sorry we wonât be coming back for a while.

Stayed here for family birthday, with hubby and 4 adult children! Beautiful thatched pub/restaurant with accommodation to rear of building. Restaurant food is great, local ales and ciders, landlord Simon handled our northern humour with grace!! Very much worth a visit.

We didnât want pub food in town so drove here. They had a cavers for £9.99. Lamb, beef, turkey, chicken and roast potatoes, parsnips and numerous vegetables. As many visits to the carvery as you want for everything except meat. Best meal Iâve had in weeks of travel. Used to come here as a kid 50 years ago and came for reminiscing and it was much better than I could imagine.

A charming small café in a pleasant and busy harbour town in Somerset. We serve breakfasts until 11.30am 7 days a week and offer lunches and afternoon teas. We also serve ice cream to eat in or take away, as well as sandwiches to take away and sweets. We
We visited and were able to get in over a small step. I had a vegetable soup and baguette for £4.50 and it was piping hot and delicious. My boyfriend had a baked potato with beans and sausage and salad. It was beautiful he loved it. He then had his favourite came coffee and walnut and said it was very tasty and he enjoyed it. He also had two cappuccinos just over £17 pounds. The staff were all very friendly and everywhere was clean and tidy to us. A steady stream of locals so always a good sign.Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. Our staff always endeavour to make every customers visit with us as enjoyable and tasty as possible. My husband sends a particular thank you for his enjoyable conversation on current affairs. Hope to see you again soon. Many thanks Samantha and Nigel

Stopped here for a cream-team and ordered the gluten-free version. The scone was huge and there was plenty of jam and cream - it was good! In fact, it was so good I had to get my wife to check that it was gluten-free - and she could tell that it was - but you know if you've been eating gluten-free for years you forget what the other stuff tastes like but this is definitely cream tea heaven.

We are ideally placed for exploring Exmoor, the Brendon & Quantock Hills or just 10 minutes drive away from the coast at Watchet. Inside, you will find all the character and atmosphere expected including wooden beams, an inglenook fireplace and log fires
We have been staying the village and as only driver, it was great to have excellent food, booze and service on the doorstep.Excellent fish and chips one night, next very tasty salmon en croute with perfectly cooked veg, partner had tasty burger and last night sizzling steak. Chicken madras as you would expect from a pub rather than curry restaurant. The portions are huge. Had to ask for reduced chips as hate wasting food. How anyone manages main course with starter and/or dessert is beyond me!!Very welcoming "guvnor" who keeps excellent ales. Don't expect a wine list but Pinot Grigio was good. Service was swift, polite and we were always checked on after delivery. The food was piping hot - no hanging around under a heater for sure!Summary - great food, huge portions, friendly, efficient service at sensible price.
