Lovely service, absolutely stunning food. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It was more than just a meal, it was an experience. We will go back again and again.Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely wine! What more could you ask for? I've eaten in most places in Swansea, this is hands down the best.

Saturday lunchStarted with the sharing platter, between 3 of us plenty enough.Good sized portions, will cooked and presented and hot.Drink selection was OK, glasses and cutlery spotless.Could spend a little more on the menus and napkins but this is a petty observation.I really liked the Mermaid and would recommend, a number of dinners had dogs with them not a problem as they were all well behaved. Thanks to the staff who were friendly, intentive and professional. We will be returning.

What a lovely little place! The food was excellent, cooked to perfection. We had chicken and steak respectively and both were cooked just right. The service was excellent as well. A definite plus was the lack of loud music, it was possible to have a conversation rather than having to shout over loud music. Disappointed we did not find this earlier and went before.Thank you for the lovely comments. We're so glad you enjoyed your visit. Now you've found us, you can definitely come again. Look forward to seeing you in the future. Regards Yvonne and Paul

Called in just at the cut off for breakfast but still happy to do us some. Great welcome for our dog too.The meat on the cooked breakfast was of superb quality and all cooked perfectly.Looking forward to going back at some other time to try other options.

Gilligan's holds about 40 covers in a small backstreet location near the main junction in Sketty, which is about four miles from Swansea. The restaurant is clean and fresh, the staff are competent and friendly, and the food is tasty and well presented. Customers are advised to generate a hunger before they go there, as the portions are large, and the policy for Friday and Saturday evening's is a three course fixed price menu. Small appetites could struggle. They allow own wine to be taken, but they also have a licence and a selection for those who wish to partake of available drinks. Well worth a visit.

Went to Diabalo SA1 for fab Sunday lunch while in Swansea. Nice little restaurant in great location by the sail bridge. Everything is fresh, the chef is really talented and her focus is on quality food.We all choose the Sunday Roast. Food was truly excellent with delicious Welsh roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, and a selection of vegetables. Everything was freshly cooked and the cauliflower and broccoli cheese sauce was wonderful. For Dessert we had either the apple tart or pavlova with raspberries and blackcurrants.I have never written a restaurant review before but the quality of the food pursuaded me to share.

M-Bar Cafe & Restaurant is tucked away on the first floor of the 'Moda Collections' designer clothes boutique on the Kingsway, Swansea. We're open from 09:30 serving healthy breakfasts and brunches as well as our main menu which changes fortnightly. Last
OMG - I had a breakfast to die for! Rustic bread, avocado, halloumi, poached egg, tomato and chilli chutney. It was delightfully tasty and each mouthful had to be savoured. The only let down was the last mouthful, as it was delicious. A breakfast I would never have thought of putting together, it was wingding eat. It set me up for the day and inspired me to eat healthily (that day). The menu on the whole was very interesting and the choice for me was difficult. The lunch menu is equally appetising and there is a lunch time deal available. Don't miss this little gem that is hidden upstairs and at the back of the Moda Shop on the Kingsway. The staff are great and the boutique restaurant surroundings are comfortable and professional. Go give it a try

We have been a couple of times and have each time gone with the tasting menu and wine flight. Itâs a small intimate venue which helps focus on the food which is right up there with the best you can get. Certainly in Swansea. Only a 3 person team the chefs downstairs welcome through the door and you can see them hard at work through the window as you enter. Lindsay does all the sourcing and wine tasting so has intimate knowledge of the food and the wine which makes the experience even better. How she manages on her own up and down those stairs is incredible. The quail was top notch. I like the idea of taking traditional food and elevating it. Like the rissole, tea cake and rice pudding( soufflé) just so good. I wish we could go more often. But we will try and go every 7 weeks as they rotate the menu. Highly recommend if you are a foodie.

Open during spring & summer months; March-September Inspired by travels in Italy. We will bring you some mouth watering weekend specials, plus a regular menu
Walking the dog along the Mumbles promenade after midday and looking for a bite to eat and happened back across this little gem. If youâve read other reviews youâll see my wife and I love seafood so this looked to be the ideal spot for an alfresco lunch. We previously shared a dressed crab here but theyâd run out so we had Frito Misto with chilli jam instead which was delicious. Great friendly owner, 5/5 food hygiene rating, the freshest seafood and the best view over Swansea bay to eat in front of - what more can you ask?
