A carvery is available for Sunday lunch which can be either two or three course. There is a choice of several roast meats and accompanied by a selection of vegetables. Not outstanding but nevertheless a wholesome meal. As with most food on Orkney it is not cheap around 50 pounds for 4 and two courses. Drinks available at the friendly bar . First course is fairly limited with a choice of soup or smoked salmon or tuna salad. Down side no apple sauce with the roast pork.

Stopped in here for lunch at the bar in the back. Looked like it had recently been renovated, very nicely decorated. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. Service was good. Would definitely recommend. Many thanks for your recommendation. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our food in the recently re-decorated Hudson Lounge.

We first discovered Julia's for lunch. We had just arrived on the Hamnavoe Ferry and were looking for something to eat. It was a blustery, rainy day. The warm atmosphere in Julia's contrasted dramatically with the weather outside. The soup (lentil) was great. Sandwiches were good. Tea cakes and scones ... I could go on. In fact, during our stay on Orkney we've been back several times. The staff have always been friendly and willing to chat with tourists like us. It reminded us of friendly restaurants back home.Don't be shy -- when you arrive by ferry, just walk across the street and pop in to Julia's. You'll be glad you did, and get a warm Orkney welcome as well as some great food.

Situated right on the harbour side of Stromness.
On a day trip to the Orkney Islands it was a stop in Stromness for lunch, and the Ferry Inn was close to where our coach parked. It was very pleasant inside and service was very prompt they are obviously used to people on day trips coming in. The food came very quickly but was very tasty and we also had time for dessert, and it still gave us time to have a stroll around Stromness afterwardsThank you for this super review about our lunchtime service. This is exactly what we aim to do for those guests visiting on coach tours. It is good to hear that you enjoyed our food and still had time for a walk about Stromness.

We stopped for lunch as part of a day in Orkney. We had excellent burgers and delicious beer. Can thoroughly recommend both beer and food.
