Reviews on British food in St Ives, England, United Kingdom. St. Ives boasts a quartet of golden-sand beaches. Sheltered coves draw swimmers and sun-worshippers, but water-sports aficionados visit St. Ives for great surfing, windsurfing and water-skiing conditions. And on your way there, keep your eyes peeled for a dude with seven wives. You never know when nursery rhymes might come true.

Our second visit to Blas Burgerworks. You simply must visit when in St Ives! No bookings policy, however on both occasions we have found if you pop in early evening, they will allocate you a table for later on. Burgers are huge, but amazing! Service also very good. If you have room afterwards, go for the banana split; perfect!

You just want to try everything on this innovative menu. Dishes are full of flavour, beautifully presented and not too heavy. Everything is as fresh as you would expect. Can recommend the Pork Scratchings with Apple Purée, Calamari, Garlic Bread, Scallop with Macaroni Cheese, Mackerel, Steak. I could go on.........Every dish was a stand out dish for us and desserts were delicious. Relaxed vibe and helpful friendly staff.

We loved the food at the Bean Inn! The dishes are interesting and made with fresh, local ingredients. The chef is very creative and there was a perfect balance of flavours, especially with the potato cakes! There arenât a lot of options and prices are on the expensive side, but you can tell a lot of thought goes into the menu. The atmosphere very is nice and arty. Booking essential!

Have never had a bad meal here and have been countless times. Highly recommend the Mussles and recent addition to the menu Goats Cheese with Gin Chutney may be the nicest thing I've eaten in my life. Will continue to return.

This was by far the best meal we enjoyed during our 12 nights in St Ives. All the dishes were delicious, fresh and full of flavour. The small plates format enabled us to try dishes that we may not have normally ordered and we werenât disappointed by anything we tried. Wine was very reasonably priced.Service was friendly and knowledgeable.

An intimate fish restaurant, serving small plates using the finest quality produce. Local day boat fish and fresh vegetables will be the stars of the show. Treated with respect, cooked simply with exciting flavours, and paired with unique wines. Service w

I cannot recommend this place enough the service from the owner Mark was absolutely impeccable. The place is very small and making a reservation is a must. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyoneâs food was amazing. This was one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. My favourite dish was the balsamic tomatoes with melted goats cheese as a starter and the lemon sole was amazing as a main. Such a big portion.

Rustic style bistro, in the heart of St.Ives, serving simple tasty dishes with good quality wines, all at a reasonable price.
Why did I give only âaverageâ when so many other reviews give âexcellentâ? Tricky one. Staff certainly really welcoming, friendly and professional. They deserve an âexcellentâ rating. The food was nice, but certainly wasnât excellent. It was a bit ordinary and the Hake Mornay was short on hake and uncomfortably salty. We ate in 4 other St Ives restaurants that week and 3 of them were considerably better and not that different in price.

This place did serve us the best vegetarian breakfast weâve ever had!! (They do serve meaty breakfasts too!) And if that wasnât enough, the best homemade scones with clotted cream and jam too! We were literally in heaven! Absolutely spot on in every possible way! And itâs run by such a sweet couple who genuinely care about their guests. To be honest, this was one of our bests, if not the best, meals we had when we went to Cornwall; and we canât recommend this place highly enough! You should definitely go there, I genuinely mean it!
