Came here for breakfast after seeing all the amazing reviews expecting something out of this world but left feeling a little underwhelmed if Iâm honest. Sausages and bacon were undercooked and it had no atmosphere. On the positive prices were good and there were lovely views, waiter also very friendly, but I wouldnât rush back. Dear Lauren635Thank you for the review on you last visit. I am sorry you felt the sausage and bacon were under cooked. All the food is freshly cooked so sorry if you felt that was the case on your visit. On your photo it looks like the bacon is char grilled and the sausage is cooked but i will take this under advisement. We value both positive and negative feedback to help us improve for all customer. We are delighted you liked the view and the service was up to standard.RegardsThe Rooftop Cafe Team

Situated opposite Bingley railway station. We are open Monday to Friday from 4pm until late and Saturday/Sunday 12 noon until late. All our food is freshly prepared and cooked to order. We have a great selection of quality wines, complimented by new world
We booked the foundry for my Daughters 21st Birthday celebration, after a little confusion regarding the booking and the food the party was a huge success and the food was fantastic regarding quality, quantity and variety. In fact the new owners food menu doesnât do it justice . The owners couldnât do enough to make it any better and were continually asking and checking if all was ok. The room holds about 80 and you can utilise the public bar area as well, they have a fantastic range of Gins and I would highly recommend booking the private room for any event or party and would certainly recommend using their catering.

Enjoyed my interesting take on Cesar's salad at Salt's Diner last weekend followed by a tasty Black Forest tart with clotted cream , both of which were homemade . Service was friendly too . There were half a dozen 'specials' on offer as well as the usual menu . Good place for food at any time of day . Love the dachshund themed crockery and paper napkins .

We went on Wednesday evening for something to eat and a catch up. We didn't have to wait long to be shown to a table. Our drinks order was taken quickly but unfortunately when they arrived two of the three drinks were wrong - but this was rectified quickly. We took advantage and ordered two courses from the Supper Club menu for £13.99. Both courses arrived quickly and we all enjoyed them. When we got the bill we had been charged for the drinks that were wrong, apart from the little mishap with the drinks we had an enjoyable evening and would return. Thanks for your kind review, we really appreciate the feedback!Kind Regards,Halfway House Team

Stopped by en route to a football match, was greeted by a very attentive waiter who took our drinks order and explained the dishes available and emphasised their use of fresh ingredients.A short time later, a waitress came and took our food order. When the food arrived, I have to say my chicken curry was fantastic. My wife had a wild mushroom risotto which she enjoyed and my daughter had the meat tapas, while her husband had the vegetarian tapas, both of which were curry based, but both of which consisted of a number of dishes, which they both found filling and both commented on the quality of the various dishes. Food and drinks for four and all for under £60!I would thoroughly recommend this establishment to anyone who enjoys curry based dishes.

This lovely traditional country pub has to be the most famous 'working' pub in the country, as it is the original Emmerdale Woolpack and the only 'soap' pub where you can actually get a drink. It has a well-stocked bar and fine cask ales, and a tasty menu
We got married in Esholt church 17 years ago and celebrated this year's anniversary with an evening meal in The Woolpack. Upon arrival we received a friendly welcome and were offered a table of our choice. Drinks were served very quickly. The menu is very good and is, apparently, new. Good choice of meat, fish and vegetarian. The food is cooked to a very high standard and wouldn't be out of place in some top end restaurants. We both enjoyed a three course meal and were very impressed. We will not be leaving it for another 17 years before we return. Thank you to the bar and kitchen staff for marking our anniversary with a memorable meal. Also thank you to the chef for the complimentary drink, cheers! Hi The Wagsta,We are so pleased to hear that your trip back to Esholt on your anniversary was made even more enjoyable with a visit to the Woolpack. We are so pleased you liked our warm welcome and friendly service and liked the new Autumn/Winter menu. As you say, we have tried to provide plenty of choice for all tastes and budgets. Hopefully we will see you again soon. Thanks for posting the review, we really appreciate it as it really does give a massive boost for the team's morale.

One half of the family came from Manchester the other Leeds. There were major motorway problems which meant they were an hour late arriving. The owner was very sympathetic and kept our table open. The food was delicious had chicken on a crispy baguette. The rest of the family really enjoyed the food but even better was the hospitality. Thank you

Located on the banks of the canal, directly opposite the Ibis Hotel, the Waterside Restaurant and Bar is Shipley's secret retaurant. In its idyllic location, the restaurant offers a range of British dishes to suit every taste and appetite. The food is loca
Our first visit and we were well impressed, will definitely recommend and return. The restaurant itself could well do with a bit of an " uplift" , it is situated perfectly next to the Leeds/Liverpool canal which has various resident barges/houseboats, there is an outside area overlooking the canal, most pleasant. The interior is intimate with only a few tables, perhaps enough to seat twenty diners, I was told that there are plans to extend the conservatory area in the near future. There was a gym above the restaurant but this has been empty now since last November. It would be great if the available space was cleverly utilised. Our table was nicely set out and the waiting staff were very friendly and extremely attentive, explaining all the menu dishes as well as the wine list. Very impressed to see Yorkshire wines made available as well as English "champagne"...in fact we were truly impressed that there was sooooo much Yorkshire produce, wines, cheeses, fish, meats, breads etc etc I think wherever local produce could be made available this restaurant would be purchasing it. Well done. The food was small portioned but extremely tasty, I've never tasted such succulent chops, tasty vegetables, piping hot shepherd's pie, the soup was delicious and obviously painstakingly prepared with ingredients cooked separately and served in such a wonderful fashion, the puddings are really extravagant, my pear in anise and ginger was superb and my partner's cheese board all Yorkshire cheeses.I would highly recommend this eatery, it is superbly positioned but much more importantly superbly well run in the kitchen, the food is very well prepared, imaginative, very tasty and creatively presented, every dish we had was superb.Considering all this the price is not overboard, maybe it's a Yorkshire thing...? If you were to eat this quality in say a similar locale in London you would more than likely pay double the price.Good food, good ambiance, good staff ....well worth the visit, we will be back.Thank you.Hi Rebecca M, thank you for your comments. We do try to use the good things that are available locally and showcase some not so well known gems. The portions are intended to allow people to sample all three courses without feeling uncomfortable. I appreciate this may not always be to everyones needs.
