Find out what British restaurants to try in Shanklin. Shanklin Beach is a beautiful, carefully tended stretch of sand on the Isle of Wight. Families appreciate the lifeguards, as well as the kids’ play area. And while there’s quite a hill separating the town from the beach, don’t worry—a lift makes it easy to tote all your beach paraphernalia down to the sand.

Morgans serve the finest home made cuisine using the best produce the Isalnd has to offer. Alongside the extensive menu is the special board which changes daily and is known for is fresh local fish and shellfish.About Tim Morgan; After working at several
Small restaurant but very friendly. Booking is probably essential at peak days. Had crab & lobster bisque to start and pan fried sea bass for main. Both absolutely delicious. With five others and they all thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Friendly staff

I visited the restaurant for a dinner ...wanted to celebrate family moments with kids ... staff were very very impolite and rude .. food was not good at all ... overall experience was terrible ... everytime we have to jump to bar to order food and collect drink from there upto to the table ... this restaurant cum pub didnot seem to be child friendly ... kid menus's FISH FINGER dish was horrible ... they ran out of CRAB and LOBSTER ... alternate main courses were horrible AND VERY VERY POOR TASTE ...WE WERE NOT AT ALL SATISFIED ... WE REPENT TO VISIT THE PLACE .... WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY AND ENERGY ...We are very sorry to hear you did not enjoy any aspect of your visit. The Streamer Inn is a pub with bed and breakfast rooms not a restaurant, so we do not offer table service. We are sorry this was an inconvenience to you during your visit. Children are welcome in the pub and we have a children's menu, high chairs, and coloring pencils and things to colour in to help keep little ones entertained. Fish fingers, chips and peas or beans is one of the most popular dishes on our children's menu so it is disappointing that you did not feel the fish finger dish, or the other main courses you ordered were up to standard. We try very hard to check that all our customers are happy with their meals and we regret that we did not know there was a problem with your meals at the time so that we could try to rectify the situation. We are sorry you were disappointed to find there were no crab and lobster salads available at the time of your visit. We try to always have these available but do sometimes run out when we have been busy, or our supplier has been unable to source any for us. We do however have other popular fish dishes including seafood chowder, fish pie and seafood tagliatelle, fish stew and of course cod or scampi and chips on our menu, and often other fish dishes on our specials board which we hope will give people a tasty alternative if they want a seafood dish and we have run our of crab and lobster. It is also very concerning to hear that you found the staff that served you to be rude. It would be helpful to know the date and time of your visit and details of what happened so that we can deal with the situation and improve for the future. If you would be happy to let us know some more details please email the pub on [email protected] with your contact details so we can get in touch with you.One again, we are sorry you did not enjoy your visit to the Steamer but hope you will give the pub another chance in the future.

Beautiful thatched Restaurant, Tearoom & Tavern, Gift Shop and Shanklin Tourist Information with lovely sunny Tea & Beer gardens next to Old Shanklin Village car park
Fantastic return visit to Vernonâs Cottage, which is simply our favourite restaurant on the island. From the lovely owners whom we sat and spoke to and whom talked openly talked about their resident ghost, to the fantastically fresh cooked food, to the romantic / relaxed candlelit ambiance, all was superb and faultless in every way.The food was tasty, well priced, good value for money and fresh. The service was quick and the food piping piping hot. It was also so nice to have that personal touch of chatting with the owners, in such a relaxed, beautiful environment.Would most definitely recommend and will certainly look to return.

Restaurant, tearoom and cafe specialising in light lunches, cream teas and snacks with spacious garden and attached gift shop.
Found via TripAdvisor and would thoroughly recommend, although a bit small for sitting inside on a wet day. Service was very attentive and the food was of a good quality and reasonably priced. Will remember for a future visit to the island.Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit and look forward to seeing you again.Lisa & Derick

Having visited Shanklin beach on a busy day we were pleased to find the lovely Small Hope Beach. Quieter and a nicer atmosphere than the main stretch. The Salix Cafe was busy with a live band playing outside. Overlooking the beach you could sit with a drink while the kids play. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and the staff lovely. The food was really good quality and very good value for money. Great ice cream too. Look forward to returning the next time we visit.

We had a wonderful evening celebrating my husbandâs birthday thanks to delicious food and great service - exactly the sort of place weâd hoped to find! Great choice of food to suit our various tastes and brilliant wine -plus the service is friendly and unobtrusive. I had been wary of asking whether I could take a Birthday cake in (having read an article by a famous chef complaining that this affected his sales of desserts), but when I phoned to book, I was asked whether Iâd like to take one in - so kind - and we appreciated the singing! We had a great evening and will definitely be back next time weâre on the Island; thank you.

We went for breakfast as a family and were treated so well, a very warm welcome and excellent service throughout our stay. The food was excellent and very good value. We would definitely come back again, hopefully on a sunny day to make the best of the fabulous views. Dogs will love their doggy menu too!Great to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Blueberrys, shame that the weather wasn't the best. Hope that you do get to come back on a sunny day and enjoy the stunning views. Many thanks for your review.

Had a lovely meal on Friday early evening with our 3 1/2 yr old son. Childrenâs menu - Really good fish goujons, (crispy batter, clearly homemade) bowl of peas in butter and skinny (appeared to be homemade) fries. My son ate all the large 4 goujons and peas, really good quality.Small sesame warm rolls served before starters, v nice, son enjoyed aswell. Lobster starter(pictured) very good and some excellent flavours, my son ate his first edible flower! Chef, not sure the sprig of parsley was needed (my only criticism)Main course of lamb with dauphinoise pots, crispy kale(superb) heritage carrots and an excellent lamb jus. Picture attached doesnât do the dish justice, the dark burnt colour is the kale, itâs not burnt. We had a fantastic Organic, Fairtrade, Chenin blanc (called âDig thisâ) really good value at about £20.Wife had the chicken breast with a nice mustard cream sauce off the specials board, succulent and tasty.Highly recommend.

Woods Kitchen and Brasserie offer extensive all-day menus featuring the best of modern British dishes in a relaxed dining atmosphere. Our Brasserie is sophisticated yet approachable, casual yet polished.
We visited for lunch (without pre-booking ... it wasn't busy out-of-season) and I enjoyed pork & black-pudding served on red cabbage while my wife ordered a chicken curry which defeated her in its generous portion size!
