Traditional pub, set on Bessels Green, Sevenoaks. Well known and local ales on hand pull as well as a fully stocked back bar and extensive wine list. A wonderful team of chefs prepare a menu that changes daily with a focus on using seasonal and local prod
As soon as we entered I had to locate somebody to welcome us and to show us to our table, nobody in sight, had to go to the bar where I found the complete staff huddling with each other, had to the initiate the conversation whilst they were all just starring, table wasnât ready on time so had to order a drink at the bar. When it came to paying the bill we were told the service charge wasnât compulsory, so gave a fair service charge. A young girl then came over and told us we had under payed! We then had to explain ourselves as we payed for our meal and also paid a fair service charge on top which wasnât compulsory! which then made it very uncomfortable, we went to leave and thanked the ladies we were ignored for a period of time of which we were stood there having waited for a response which then came with no eye contact whatâs so ever as was continuing to look down. Then shouted THANKYOU very abruptly! Whilst looking down. Very unhappy with our experience here.Dear Firlej93,I am sorry to hear that you felt your experience with us was not a pleasant one. However I am do feel that any rudeness you felt has been over exaggerated. You claim that you had to locate a staff member to show you to your table & found them at the bar. Our restaurant is not a vast expanse & the bar is our main point of call for greeting customers - which as you say is where all the staff were. I can happily state that the service charge/underpayment discrepancy was nothing more than a mistake/misunderstanding - the staff member certainly wouldn't have aimed to cause any offence. Lastly I am sorry that the staff were slow to bid you a farewell, however I am happy to hear that they did.I find it unfair that no mention has been given of your meal or any service received during your visit, whilst saying the team were rude from start to finish. It is upsetting for me to have my staff labelled as "rude" over what sounds like an admittedly slow approach & misunderstandings, both of which I apologise for. The team are a hardworking & polite group of individuals who would never act in such as way to a customer - I repeatedly receive plenty of positive feedback from several guests - including the day of your visit.Kind regards,Rob LockeGeneral Manager

Otto's is a Coffee House & Kitchen at the top of Sevenoaks High Street, opposite the stunning Knole Park. We are very lucky to call one of the oldest buildings in Sevenoaks our home - a 16th Century building full of history, period features and friendly f
Ottoâs is the perfect pitstop to reward yourself after hiking around The Knole nearby. Head upstairs for table service and get ready for a treat. Coffee drinks are made to perfection and the brunch toast specials are so good I wrote two of them down to try to recreate them (but all the better when someone else does!): Homemade peanut butter spread on a slice of toast topped with dates, banana slices and seeds with a drizzle of maple syrup OR toast topped with goat cheese, strawberries and toasted pistachios. Simply divine and so are the prices.Thumbs up. Iâll be back.

I love this pub. Food is excellent, nice garden and a small playground for the kids. You need to book in the colder months as the restaurant isnât massive. It also has a great private dinning area.

This restaurant is temporarily closed for renovations.
ATMOSPHERE: From the very start to finish, the service was fantastic. The vibe was cheerfully busy without feeling crowded or rushed. FOOD: The menu is exactly what I like - thoughtfully creative without being too whacky; Charming without pretention. The pricing is spot on. The starter of "A Pair Of Pears" is possibly the best starter anywhere in Kent. It's a MUST HAVE, my husband & I still haven't stopped raving about it.This would be an utterly faultless meal if the venison had been cooked medium-rare instead of almost well done (husband ordered the exact same as I did and it arrived the exact same as mine). Thankfully it was still very tasty. PERFECT FOR: Dates and girls nights.

I went there today with my young daughter for lunch. The young lady behind the bar was very friendly and efficient. We ordered fish and chips. We sat outside as it was a lovely sunny day. The food arrived after about 15 minutes and was delicious. Very large portions and the waitress was also very friendly. We will definitely return.

We brought out the Wife`s parents for lunch who were celebrating their Diamond wedding anniversary and what a great choice the service was attentive and helpful the food was superb between us we had the Duck, Chicken, Salad,Risotto, king prawns all served very quickly and very well presented. Drinks and food all reasonably priced, one personal criticism not keen on roof tiles as a serving dish. Other than that when in the area we shall return.

Country pub set in a lovely village setting, serving good beer and excellent pub food. We welcome families of all ages and are very dog friendly. We are closed on Mondays (except bank holidays) We offer Gluten Free and vegetarian options.
Walked through Knole Park and were looking on phone for a place for light lunch. Saw pub on TripAdvisor . From reviews was concerned it was a gastro pub and would not appreciate walkers. Concerns unfounded. Folks behind the bar were great. Good beers and selection of homemade sandwiches. Will return

I visited recently with some friends and had an excellent meal. My baked cod in a cheese sauce with mash and vegetables was hot and delicious. The restaurant was lively and that to me speaks volumes. With so much competition these days, people want good food at the right price and that was exactly what we got.Do the people who write negative reviews about the food or service speak to Manager before doing so? No!I look forward to to another visit and will recommend The Bricklayers Arms.Well done everyoneI really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review and I totally agree with your comments, it is a shame sometimes when we are not given a chance to rectify mistakes or able to change things when not to people's tastes! Hopefully we will see you again soon, Andy
