Cranberry Swamp is a cool stylish licensed restaurant located at 24 Skinner Street, Whitby. We specialise in gluten-free food but do offer a choice of bread for those of you who love your toast! Gluten-free does not mean Fun-free! If anything the flavours
Nice to find somewhere that offers full gluten free options for those requiring them. Staff are helpful and food is good quality and tasty. You arenât going to get anything fancy and unusual, but for a cafe the choice is good and well prepared. Nice relaxed atmosphere away from the queues at the harbour restaurants. As in a few places in Whitby, credit cards are not accepted due to poor Wi-fi coverage.

A very reasonable priced 3 course meal £40 for 2 people for residence, the food we had was all fresh and presented to a very high standard, and felt we had been very spoilt, it was a lovely meal and the kids also enjoyed eating here.

We are a small unlicensed eatery, serving just pie mash peas and gravy. We welcome dogs and their owners. We don't have any Alcohol, but you are more than welcome to bring your own or pop over the road to the Endeavour pub who will let you bring a nice co

We were told that this pub did very nice meals and this turned out to be true. I had the Whitby caught cod and my wife had the Lasagne. Both were very nice. The atmosphere in the pub was also very good

This place is well worth the journey. It's on a side street close to the harbour. The fish and chips are fantastic and I can recommend the fish pieces and the fish cakes. Very reasonable prices and great staff make this fantastic.

Visited The Hart on a few occasions recently. Fabulous seafood menu, gluten free and veggie available, steaks and pub grub all at a very reasonable price.Would pick this little gem above any pub in the area for food, great service, dog friendly and amazing views across the bay.

What a beautiful place, in a beautiful setting, with beautiful delicious food!! A fabulous place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We found this lovely restaurant on Trip Adviser and it really surpassed our expectations. We were on a break, travelling around the North of England and I can honestly say this was the best meal we ate all week. The Fish Pie was to die for, and the service so friendly and welcoming. If you're ever in the area, please go, you won't be disappointed. Plus we so wish we'd booked to stay there. They kindly showed us their accommodation, which was fabulous. If we go back to Whitby, we know where we'll be staying, far superior to other local accommodation.

Classic dishes are our favourites so that's what we serve, using modern cookery to bring them up to date. The kitchen team has a total of 42 years professional cooking experience and double that living by the sea. They know a good looking fish when they s
Lovely food but so slow to deliver ,had drunk our bottle of wine before we got the fourth course ! 3 hours altogether Dear farmeggs, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We would have loved to know what you thought about our food. We're sorry that the tasting menu took too long for you, we do explain when booking that we ask people to arrive between 7pm & 7:30pm and people usually leave 9:45pm - 10pm. Perhaps any of our other services, lunch and dinner, where we serve a la carte would have been more suitable. Kind regards, Bridge Cottage
