Reviews on British food in Otley, Leeds, England. Otley is a market town and civil parish at a bridging point on the River Wharfe in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire, England. Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, the population was 13,668 at the 2011 census. It is in two portions: that south of the river includes the historic town of Otley; that north of the river is Newall, which was formerly a separate township. The town is in lower Wharfedale on the A660 which connects it to Leeds.

We'd love you to stop for a drink and a bite to eat, and take inthe beautiful North Yorkshire scenery. Walkers, cyclists and dogs welcome. Home made cakes, soup and afternoon tea in a stunning rural and welcoming environment.
This is a lovely cafe in a beautiful rural setting. Dog, child, vegan, cyclist and walker friendly. Did I mention they have a few gluten free offerings? Service and food are both very good. The atmosphere both inside and outside are interesting and relaxing. Of interest to children (and adults) there's a small enclosed garden with pond that attracts creatures for nature lovers.

There are many tea rooms in this area and most are just average. This one leads the pack. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good and well prepared. With the sandwiches, instead of a cursory lettuce leaf and a piece tomato on your plate, you actually get a very fresh, small salad, with dressing. Itâs a nice touch and visually appealing too. They make the best of a tiny space and free Wi-Fi to boot! We will be back. Thank you so much for your lovely review and sorry to take sooo long to respond. We have just been so busy over summer!! However we just wanted to say thank you and are so glad you enjoyed your visit to us, and all that we offer here at our little cafe. Many thanks

Lovely pub with a great lunchtime menu. We walked here from the Chevin hotel, about 10 mins away. Recommend the fish finger sandwich, which was huge, served with great skin on chips, salad and coleslaw. Service was first class and the food was piping hot. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff - would certainly recommend, and even though it was busy, it did not feel busy.

Fish and Chip Shop with restaurant
Maypole Fisheries is located near to the Maypole in Otley hence the name.We recently visited the Maypole Fisheries and we decided to have our lunch inside in the restaurant. The menu included starters, main course and desserts. We ordered the regular haddock fillet approx 150g with chips with a side order of mushy peas. Every main course included a slice of bread and we als had tea x 2. Afterwards we opted for a portion of the apple pie with ice cream and a portion of rhubarb crumble with ice cream. The fish and chips with mussy peas were excellent with a great taste. The desserts were home cooked and also full of flavour. We felt that these were the best fish and chips we have eaten. The service was friendly and polite. We did not have to wait long in between courses.Of course we will return again.

A lovely afternoon Stew at a fantastic price. Food was delicious, £19 all in for 2 of us!!! Dog friendly, which makes it a very sociable place to eat. My only slight criticism would be the level of staffing. The two gents in today were lovely, friendly and fun. However, you could clearly tell they were short staffed. Long wait to be served which was frustrating, a couple more employees would have given the 5 stars.Thank you Phil for your review. We are really glad you found your meals to be delicious! We have taken your comments on board and we are reviewing our staffing levels. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Very nice and clean, good quality coffee and cake. Finlay my King Charles is allowed in, so that's good. Lacks a bit of ambience for me. But give it it try. Each to their own. You wont be disappointed. In the service or the food and drinks.

A traditional Yorkshire Pub serving honest Yorkshire Fayre, Cask Ales,Continental Beers and fine wines with views over the Wharfe Valley
Went here for a meal last week after my daughter graduated in Leeds. It was by our estimation a very average meal. Service was satisfactory and the food was well presented but we felt it lacked really good flavours and imagination. We all had various items from the menu but non of them were to get excited about, It all felt a little bit ordinary. The environment is pleasant and the view from the outside terrace is beautiful. To improve this place we felt, careful purchasing, more imaginative use of ingrediants and culinary skills, could make this a great venue.

Bistro style dining in unique surroundings. Set on the river Wharfe in the market town of Otley, our location is perfect for every occasion.
Visited for a family birthday and felt a little disappointed. The service was very slow- we waited 40 minutes for food after ordering and the restaurant was barely 1/3 full. The food was pleasant enough but portions small and nothing was outstanding about the flavours. This place is not cheap, so I would expect more âwowâ factor than run of the mill.

Dog friendly coffee house, serving homemade cakes, freshly brewed coffee and brunch dishes. Your hound can also enjoy a treat or two and choose from a range including: biscuit bones, doughnuts, puppuccino and venison sausages.
Visited with my daughter who has been before and highly recommended it. Great coffee, prompt service, food was super, waiter charming. What more could you ask for.I think they deserve the number 1 slot and will be going again. Thanks so much for your lovely review. I think he's charming too, although I may be slightly biased as he's my husband ;)

On a recent visit to Ilkley we wanted somewhere to stop for Sunday lunch and came across The Clevedon through TripAdvisor. The restaurant looked really nice but we were surprised when we got there to find it was part of a retirement village. The staff were all very friendly the menu was a set menu with carvery and the food was very tasty and reasonably priced. All in all a very enjoyable experience was small issue is parking very few visitor spaces.
