Reviews on British food in North Holland Province, The Netherlands. Mostly jutting northward from its largest city of Amsterdam and its capital of Haarlem, the Noord-Holland region has much more to offer beyond those two wonderful cities. At Muiden is the magnificent Muiderslot Castle, as if it stepped out of a fairy tale. Showing more wear but no less interesting is Brederode Castle at Santpoort. At Zaanstad is Zaanse Schans, one of Holland’s top tourist destinations and a family-friendly open air museum of windmills, traditional buildings, crafts and shops.

Stopped in for brunch upon the recommendation of a local. The Veggie and The Big Vegan Breakfast appealed to us after a couple weeks in Africa without fresh veggies. The plates looked gorgeous, but the food was bland, particularly on the Vegan. In fact the sweet potato fries were the only thing that had any spice at all, and that seemed just salt. The avocado hummus tasted like plain, mashed avocado. The tofu scramble was just that, with absolutely no flavour. On the plus side, the fresh squeezed orange juice was definitely fresh and delicious, the food all seemed fresh and was presented well. Just needed something to give it some taste. The coffee was pretty good. Service was quick if a bit curt.Thank you so much for your review! We take all reviews extremely seriously and each one is discussed at our weekly management meeting. Thank for your feedback regarding the food, it has been passed onto the head chef and will be looked at. We hope to see you back again soon! Jen :)

In the middle of Amsterdam's Jordaan quarter you will come across a cosy seafood restaurant. Seafood with a twist that is... Because we do not only serve a mean classic Fish and Chips (our speciality) but we also offer a variety of mussel dishes, oysters,
After passing this restaurant hundreds of times, we finally decided to visit. They definitely do the best fish and chips in Amsterdam. The chips were as close to what youâd get in the UK as possible, plus they had excellent quality fish and a great selection of beers too. We both had cod and chips each, and shared the shrimp croquettes. All food was excellent. Service was very friendly too. The price tag reflects the quality...if visiting from the UK donât expect to pay what you usually would in your local chip shop. This is more gourmet fish and chips rather than cheap as chips :)We will definitely be back and are relieved to have found somewhere for fish and chip Friday!Hi,So happy to read we finally won you over after passing hundreds of times. Thanks for your kind review, it is good to read you where pleased with all of it.See you again for a fish and chip Friday;)Cheers,Enno

Situated in the heart of town with a fabulous canalside terrace. All day breakfasts - full english, eggs benedict etc etc, full lunch and afternoon tea and cakes selection
We went for breakfast on our first morning in Amsterdam based on tripadvisor reviews and werenât disappointed. I need a gluten free option so was delighted with their delicious gluten free toast which accompanied my meal. We both opted for the veggie breakfast as weâd had full English in the airport the day before and I can honestly say this was the best veggie breakfast Iâve ever eaten, by some distance. It was incredible and huge, served quickly and incredibly efficiently bearing in mind they were so busy, with a queue out the door. It was so good we went back two days later and it was delicious once again. The home made soda bread my partner had was described as the best bread heâd eaten for a long time. Very highly recommended and weâll definitely be back next time we visit the city. Thank you so much for your review! We hope to see you back again soon. Jen :)
