Nestled within the Woolacombe Bay Hotel you will find The Bay Brasserie & Bar, the more relaxed of our two restaurants. Spacious and stylish yet seriously relaxed, The Bay Brasserie is the place to sit back, share a toast with friends and treat your taste
We visited for dinner on our last but one night during a week stop in Woolacombe and wish we had come earlier, so that we could have squeezed in another visit. We loved the atmosphere. The main dining room was lovely, airy and spacious which was a great contrast to some of the packed pubs and restaurants we had visited during the week. The service was fantastic, with all staff being formal yet polite and friendly. The quality of food was excellent. I had the pork belly, which was delicious and plentiful, and the duck carpaccio salad, which was tasty - although a small detail the fresh raspberries we're missing as described in the menu which was a slight disappointment. The childrens meals we're also great, it took a lot of willpower not to eat my daughters fish fingers - freshly made with huge chunks of flaky white fish and crispy batter - no Captain Birdseye here!Deserts we're also delicious. My only constructive feedback would be around the portion sizes of the children's menu which just seemed massively inconsistent. The fishfinger meal was huge, it would have served an adult - this was for our toddler so was way too much, which we're not complaining about. However the tagliatelle our 9 year old picked from the children's menu, whilst tasty, was a really small portion. Considering the main ingredient is as cheap as chips (well pasta) it wouldn't have hurt to increase the portion size here. The waiter recommended bringing the childrens meals out with our starters - the logic being that they usually take forever to eat their meals. However on this occasion the tagliatelle was polished off in about 5 minutes there was that little of it, before we had even finished our starters, so our daughter was sat bored and still hungry - we ended up ordering her an additional garlic bread, which we had to ask for again and this eventually turned up after about 25 minutes.Likewise the childrens deserts - our eldest's sticky toffee pudding was reduced in size, whilst the Eton mess our toddler had was huge and most of it went to waste.Again this is just constructive feedback as overall we really enjoyed our evening and the food. It was very reasonably priced too, pretty much in line with some of the local pubs in the village but much better quality.

Popped in to see what this place had and found it quite an unusual set up. This is primarily a takeaway with around 3 tables to fit around 12 people if they decided to eat in instead of takeaway. After discussing what we could do and being given options as to what we could eat as my wife is coeliac we decided to sit and eat at the restaurant rather than have it to takeaway. We decided on the chicken and choritzo in tomato sauce. Very nice taste but could have done with a little more choritzo in my opinion. Others were eating at the restaurant and there were plenty of takeaways being ordered. Would probably pop in again if in the area. Very pleasant staff and very well up on gluten products. No need to book as you can take it home with you.

My husband and I recently moved to Woolacombe and celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary at NC. It was an amazing evening. Noel and Nora make a great team and everything served was impeccable from the first course to Nora's famous mexican coffee to end off with. I'm unfortunately allergic to shellfish and having checked with Noel before booking he was able to allow for this. I didn't miss out on any courses and his substitutes were delicious. Being able to watch him prepare the food and plate was such a fantastic experience as I'm a foodie and love watching the creations. Met some lovely couples in the intimate setting as well. Perfect anniversary evening - looking forward to our 18th there! Jaunita and Gavin Gobby

The food here was so good and amazing value for money. We ordered the nachos which was a huge portion, so do recommend sharing or ordering a smaller version. Nice atmosphere. Order at the bar, service was quick.

Beautifully made mini sandwiches and cakes that were to die for and a bottle of bubbly too Couldnt eat it all and this was no problem as it was boxed up to tale away too!Thank you so much.we will be back Thank you for your recent review, we are delighted to read that you enjoyed your birthday Afternoon Tea at the Watersmeet. We are pleased Ania assisted with the arrangements ensuring the occasion was made perfect and that the Restaurant team provided a fantastic service on the day. If you want a nice honest pub meal, then you can't go wrong here. Nice varied menu, from classics such as prawn cocktail and more, to slow cooked pork belly and goat curry. Welcoming staff and fair prices (not sure why anyone would think it's overpriced?)Recommended.

We are a fully licenced cafe in Mortehoe. We specialise in home made goods especially cake all made from scratch, sweet and some savoury options, great artisan coffee and speciality teas. We also do an amazing high tea which is only available by reservati
Found this great cafe by chance after visiting the Mortehoe post office .After getting wet walking on Woolacombe beach we were looking for refreshments. Although the cafe was busy what a warm welcome we got when we walked in. Being gluten free, it is often difficult for me to have a choice other then chocolate brownies, but Will offered me a gluten free scone. What a treat for me to have a proper cream tea. They couldnât do enough for us. Hope to be back before our holiday ends.
