Situated on the historic Mid Links in the town of Montrose, the Edwardian building of The Links Hotel is a handsome setting for the smart restaurant and 'Koffiehuis' within. The main dining room is an elegant and formal space, with a menu that blends Scot

So glad I poped in to the Northern Vaults on my visit to Montrose. Lovely welcome from the staff and nice relaxed atmosphere for eating. The Mac n' cheese was really suberb and although I doubted whether I could finish the huge portion it was so delicious I had too!!

Our 3rd time here. As usual, food it really good, the thali is a good choice. I would say, however, not as good as it has been. A couple of chicken dishes, the pieces were overcooked. Also, the service needs to be better organised and more friendly. Some training wouldnt go amiss. Hope this was an off day due to a busy Father's Day.

A slightly surprising interior to a very traditional building overlooking Montrose golf course. Wide ranging menu with "Real" burgers, on decent buns and fairly generous portions. Good that they have a separate GF menu, from which veg quesadilla was chosen and very tasty. Other veggie dishes on main menu weren't GF. Service good, prices perhaps a wee bit higher than other places, but location may account for that. Certainly was very busy the day we visited.

Fabulous Cafe serving fresh food, all made on the premises. We offer up a daily changing variety of goods Former Victorian Bowling Pavilion which has been converted into a sympathetic café set in lovely gardens. Dog area.. Fresh Friendly Fabulous
What a lovely little place. In order to break up our day doing the sights around Montrose we visited the Pavilion Cafe. We fancied some proper food, not the standard fair as found in some of the other local outlets, my goodness, we were not disappointed; a chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich, 2 omelettes, a potatoes soup and a Panzanella salad. All of this was delicious homemade food. The setting is also very nice; an old, well kept/restored pavilion turned into a cafe (hence the name, I guess), on a bowling green in a leafy area of town. It seats around 20 with a few picnic tables outside. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the high street and at the time of our visit there was ample parking. So, if you want proper home made food in a quiet area of town with a lovely atmosphere, come here. So happy with your lovely review, thank you so much for taking time to post.Reviews like yours really help my little independent café in a difficult market.
