Refreshments served with a side order of spectacular views across Lynmouth Bay. Our Grade I listed building perched high on the cliff top above the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway is perhaps the most beautiful location for a Cream Tea in the Westcountry.
Very very expensive. Food was ok but the staff very rude. Better of going down the road to somewhere different. Sorry are you talking about the right establishment. If any of my staff were rude to you you should of told us we all have name badges. Are prices reflect our quality of locally sourced food. Even still are prices are a lot lower than most cafe/coffee shops in the area.

A simple old fashioned meal Really limited menu but Simply presented and served. Think I wish we had gone on the carvery sessions which everyone raves about Not touristy ( which I prefer ) but could still be a little better interns of quality ingredients and there was no service with a smile

We had done a whole day of touring with a 15 month old baby at Dunston Castle and the Valley of the Rocks. We were all tired and wanting something special and fast.Thankfully, the staff at Rising Sun Restaurant were quick to put us at the 'bar side' of the restaurant as apparently the table cloth section was fully booked. I prefered this knowing my messy baby. Baby chair was quickly brought and after orders taken, food arrived quick enough.Mussels were very nice, Lobster Bisque was quite light but still flavoursome, seafood platter was not bad as it had a variety (of which i thought my garlic chilli prawns were cooked to perfection) but the highlight was the Turbot. As I was not a local resident in UK, i am informed by family members residing in London that the price of Turbot was always much higher in the capital - i took her word for it.Overall, would we go to the Rising Sun again? Most definitely. We were really pleased you and your family enjoyed your recent meal with us,your lovely comments made about the food have been passed onto our Chefs, and were very much appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to the Rising Sun next time you are visiting this beautiful part of North Devon.

Traditional Tea Room and Cafe serving Loose Leaf Tea, Fresh Ground Coffee, Homemade Cakes, Breakfast and Lunch Menu served all day. Open 7 days a week 10am-5pm with probably the best view in Lynmouth.
Visiting Lynmouth again on a very busy Sunday lunchtime. We were surprised how many tables were empty at The Pavilion. I suppose this was reflected with the good weather and many other eating places with outside space. We chose toasted sandwiches and really enjoyed them. Good quantity of brie and cranberry, with a little side salad. Coffee good too.

Very cosy feeling to the pub, food is excellent and reasonably priced. Service top class, warm and friendly welcome. We didnât have a dog but there were plenty there that did. All very well behaved and made to feel at home. If we get the chance we will return.

intimate dining experience the restaurant has a fresh new look without losing its charm and warm welcoming atmosphere. Our ethos remains the same, "dine at your leisure". Your table is yours for the evening.
A lovely cosy place with such a happy waitress and food that excelled excellence! Hubbyâs prime rump steak was the best quality and cooked to perfection, and my scallops did not disappoint either. A most enjoyable evening, well worth a return visit, even though we live 60 miles away!!!

Cafe and Tea Garden offering Devon produce and homemade cakes. Famous for Cream Teas!
I love this cafe. Itâs quite small, so hard to get a table, but well worth the wait. Really lovely fresh lunches at reasonable prices and amazing cakes. The scones are absolutely delicious (you can see why they are award winning). Would highly recommend a visit. Thank you so much for your review. You are right when you say it's quite small especially when it rains we lose our garden and we fill up very quickly. Everything is freshly prepared, so when we are busy there is a wait but glad you enjoyed your lunch and highly recommend us it means a lot.
