Went with friends for Sunday Lunch. The restaurant was pretty full. Staff were lovely but roast diner was just okay...nothing special.
Was attending a charity's dinner. Some 200 people in attendance for dinner. After a wait the good started to filter out. But it was evident that service lacked organisation. Waitresses came with Turkey and ham but no veg or gravy. Some brought mash potato first but no veg or meat. Some tables got full served meal eventually whilst others waited and waited.Eventually we were served last. First came the turkey and ham,a little later mash and roast potato. Cauliflower cheese came but they had ran out of carrot and parsnip. Gravy came later. I then saw they had left chipolatas in a dish further down table.Eventually they brought us carrot and parsnip but it was not mashed. The main was tasty and plentiful when we eventually got it.Desert was trifle in a very small dish. Tea or coffee was served. No complaints about food quality which was great. But the overall serving and organisation was abismal. But I think for regular a la carte walk in service it should be better. I will try sometime soon.

Palomo Café & Bistro is one of Lurgans longest running establishments. Initially opened as a Cafe Bar our famous sandwiches & homemade Breads & Pastries we have evolved into one of Lurgans most popular Bistros. We cater for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and a
I think the chef here must have an artistic streak about him because my burger was exquisitely designed. It was almost a shame to demolish and eat it. The chips likewise were delightful and above all hot. There is a traditional feel about this cafe/restaurant/bar but the food and drink were all of a good high standard. They stock a range of craft beers from Co. Fermanagh with which I was well impressed. They are definitely worth trying. We had good service from the waiting staff and everything was completed just as we ordered it. The only minor criticism I would have is that the tables were probably a little too close together so it was rather too easy to overhear conversations at the next table, but fortunately on the night visited we were able to move tables but it could be a challenge on a busy night. This is a great place to visit for something as basic as a coffee during the day, a proper meal or a quiet undisturbed beer at any other time. Good value as well.

I went today for lunch with my partner and I can honestly say this was one of the worst meals I have ever had! 1. Carrots and parsnips- wet mush, tasteless!2. Mash potatoes-grim!3. Roast potatoes-hard as stones!4. Sprouts- withered, hard, over cooked!5. Gravy awful!6. Turkey ok7. Ham hard on the edges, like rubber!8. Stuffing actually made me feel sick, I canât explain how bad it actually was. The management need to get a grip, food like this should not be allowed to leave the kitchen! We are very sorry to hear about your experience within Cafe Alana. We take all customer feedback very seriously as we are always looking to improve our service and food selection. Please get in touch with ourselves by emailing - [email protected] so we can investigate this review in more detail.

Most dishes reasonable. The wrap with chips was good. However. Oh dear. When your complaint that the base of the baked potato is as hard as the road is met with âyou seem to have eaten it allâ when there is slightly less than 1/2 of the skin of the spud looking at you, there is no point in continuing. You lost customers today. And ones that might easily have come back and encouraged other to do so.

Called here after 3pm on a Monday and as they close at 4pm they still served us ok. We had scones and coffee. I would highly recommend the rhubarb and ginger scones - delicious. Presentation was excellent- butter, jam and cream. Staff member serving us was pleasant.

Great setting , friendly courteous staff , quick service , appetising choice for starter and dessert. Unfortunately roast beef quite chewy - a little more tender would make a great difference to main course.

A last minute outing with my husband. We both took advantage of the steak deal for £15 with all of the trimmings. Great quality food and great service. The only downside was no card machine for payment with no signs to let you know before you go in.
