Just got back after our second time staying here, had a lovely time, room very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed an afternoon here and had a lovely evening meal and dessert. Breakfast this morning was lovely the sausages are the best we've had! The staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you especially the lady who served us our breakfast, we will definitely be back soon for another relaxing stay

What a refreshing change to find a pub that was both welcoming and serving delicious home cooked food at a reasonable price!All 4 adult meals were served piping hot and with fresh veg/salad.Desserts delicious and hot desserts served with lashings of custard. Called in for a lunch time visit. Husband and i both had tuna and cheese paninis and they were very tasty. They came with salad and crisps but we ordered chips and wedges and enjoyed these also. Looked to have nice cakes but too full to try them. Parking in the front. Staff friendlyThank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. Having SALON, one of the finest grower champagnes, on the wine list was impressive. Not your everyday tipple with the Haddock & Chips etc also on the menu, but for that very, very, very special event an outstanding choice. This is a smart, yet cosy, place and, at a guess, a prefect venue for a celebration small or large. The food is not quite fine dining but excellent and imaginative with good service. Putting aside the SALON at around £600 a bottle, some may still find it a tad pricey but breaking through the "pub grub" ceiling is expensive. One of only a few good places in the area particularly for that weekend break or celebration.Many thanks for the review of your recent visit to the Brackenborough Hotel. I hope you aenjoyed your fish & chips (if indeed that is what you had to eat?) and yes we do have some pricey wines, but also a range of good affordable wines.Best wishes Andrew

We visited this delightful tea room on route to north norfolk. We had a lovely coffee and homemade cake . This tearoom is lovely and has beautiful gardens. Called in for an impromptu lunch. I had the ham and cheese plate (ploughmanâs really) and it was awesome. Home cooked ham which was delicious, really succulent and melted in the mouth. I was greedy and had a side of chips which were home made and on the money. OH had the gourmet burger with cheese and he loved it. Canât fault the food, server couldnât do enough for us, and the price we paid was excellent value for money. We will definitely return. I have eaten at Serendipity and the seven course tasting menu which I gave a 5 start review. This is something different it is a set menu with 3 of four choices for each of the 3 courses available. The food is of a high standard, the same as the tasting menu and yet I have given it an equal rating. The reason for this is the price £15 for 3 courses as opposed to the £42.50 for the 7 course menu. The quality of food is better than average, with the desert being amazing. The service was great from start to finish But the building itself is in many ways the star of the show; We ate in a gin room and had it too ourselves.Hi! This is Gavin! I'm the chef that cooked Sunday lunch for you, I just wanted to say how grateful I am to hear such a lovely message from you, as i'm still learning many new things. Really nice food with friendly staff. Chicken & Egg and Jersey Royal starter - both really flavoursome and unusual. Sea Bass and roast tomatoes - delicious sweet heritage tomatoes & Roast onion & goats cheese - unusual but delicious. Definite fans and will be back. Ian chef took the time to speak to us after & showed a real passion for food.
