We stopped off for breakfast on the way back home after a few days nearby. A really friendly welcome, a fresh tasty non greasy full cooked breakfast with excellent coffee and lovely views will mean we will definitely visit again. We couldnât resist two of the homemade cakes to take away (they also have gluten free).

We ate here 3 times during our recent holiday in Frogmore and were extremely pleased. The food was good (the portions huge, so beware!). Service was friendly and the general atmosphere relaxed. We also went to the Jazz night and enjoyed that hugely. Singer had a lovely voice and the music was very pleasant. Prices also reasonable. Parking at the back seemed plentiful (we were able to walk). Would certainly recommend.

Well, what a lovely surprise! We had been placed at The Tower Inn by the company who had arranged our South West Coast Path walking accommodation so did not know what to expect. This is a gorgeous country village pub with spectacular food and friendly staff. My partner chose the seafood pasta from the specials menu which was bursting full of shellfish and flavour. My lamb was melt in the mouth. Highly recommended!

Award winning food set in a place to relax, step back & be steeped in history. The Church House Inn, Churchstow, a 13th Century pub, built as a rest house for Bendictine Monks from Buckfast Abbey it has been a hostelry of one kind or another all of its li
We went for curry night and the food was excellent. Three curries and rice and a samosa all for £14 and really delicious and well presented. Friendly pub that does not rely on it's location to attract customers. Came her back in March and the food was really good then.

Welcome to the Millbrook Inn â gloriously situated in the charming village of South Pool, Devon. A place to discover and enjoy great, honest cooking in an atmosphere that celebrates why villages need pubs and pubs need villages. Take a look around and see
I was worried this was going to turn out to be an overpriced local pub, but although it was more than your average, the food more than makes up for it. We went with our boys, but they are at the age where it just about worked. I wouldn't have gone with any younger children - neither the menu or space would make it right for them really. I saw that they have a bbq on some nights with a different set up and that might work better for less formal. Extremely helpful front of house (owner?) was not sure who he was, but made us feel welcome, made sure the dog was comfortable and had water. What they call the bar snacks are more like starters really, and the menu is not 20 pages of inedible food, but a few choice options for fish, field and hedgerow to suit all, with some more basic, and value, children's options. Highly recommend. Make sure you book though as it is not a big place!

From when we arrived bar lady Anita (Nite) was friendly & helpful. I had stake and kidney pudding and my partner had the chilli battered fish.It was all delicious. I asked for extra gravy which the chef happily complied with. It's a nice country pub atmosphere with beautiful gardens at the rear.I would highly recommend.

Stokeley has everything you would expect from a country farm shop, a deli, butchery, restaurant cafe & plant centre. In addition we stock everyday groceries and a wide selection of alcohol, including beer from our own brewery. At Stokeley Café we are busy
Really great, we have sampled over our week, a breakfast, lunch snack and afternoon teas. Always friendly, efficient service and the food is great especially the breakfast. We have also returned a few times to refill my husbands beer flagon and stocked up to take home with us. A highly recommended place to visit and enjoy.Wow, so glad you sampled and enjoyed all we have to offer including our beer. The feedback on our team is always particularly welcome. We do hope to see you again soon

We have been named âBest Restaurant in the south Westâ by Taste of the West in just year one Here at restaurant Twenty_Seven our ethos is quite simple; we use fresh local produce, skillfully prepared and served in a relaxed vibrant environment. Quality is
Wonderful food which justifies its rather high-end pricing and would justify a five start review. But oh how they need a more experienced Chef Patron to mentor them and get the front of house and overall management up to scratch.I know it must be very difficult to get and keep good quality staff and these here are so young that theyâve most likely never experienced the sort of restaurant that this is aspiring to be. But, as a customer, that isnât my problem - itâs up to the restaurant to sort out. There were four of is. We ordered a bottle of rose wine. When it arrived it had been opened and was in a wine cooler - and it was just put onto the table by a waitress who then walked away. We spotted it wasnât the wine we had ordered so we called her back over and our comment rather threw her into a panic. She called over another waitress who rather off-handedly said âoh yes, weâd run out of the one youâd orderedâ! Well fair enough but Iâd expect you to tell us that, not just give us a substitute and hope that we didnât notice. We said weâd keep the bottle theyâd brought but asked to taste it - so one of us got a taste and then, having said it was OK, the bottle was put back into the cooler and we were left to pour our own! Some simple training would help - take the wine to the table, show the label to the person who ordered it, open it in front of them, offer a taste, pour wine for those who want it and only then put it into a wine cooler. We wanted a bottle of white wine to go with our main course. It was impossible to get anyoneâs attention until they brought us our food. We were then told that theyâd run out of the wine we wanted - âwe had 12 bottles but theyâve all goneâ. So, at 8pm on a Friday evening theyâd run out of 2 wines from a not particularly extensive wine list. I know that stocking up on wine is a big investment for a restaurant so can sort of understand it but, again as a customer, the wine is part of the dining experience and they need to sharpen up on this to justify the price-point.So yes, go to this restaurant, enjoy the food (I particularly recommend the celeriac starter), but donât exoect too much from the overall experience.Hi Iâm glad you thought the food was excellent, your right about the staffing problem i face, trying to get good staff and keep them is literally the bane of my life!! I can train and train, but when its service time unfortunately Iâm in the kitchen ensuring the food is excellent, But i have a very experienced manager starting next week, and this should solve my problems, with regards to the wine you are completely correct we won best restaurant in south west and the bookings went crazy, so yes we did run out, Iâm sorry about this hopefully youâll try us again, Jamie x
