A relaxed ambiance in a place with ample parking and good service.Restaurant has a few different areas and some tables are a bit too low to sit comfortably. Decent traditional fare. Our Coeliac did get glutened here, despite double checking the dish with the staff, so do take extra-precautions when ordering with food allergies.

Nestled in the scenic and historic village of Nether Westcote, Oxfordshire in the heart of the Cotswolds, with panoramic views over the Evenlode valley. Restaurant, Bar, and Inn - The Feathered Nest Country Inn is the perfect venue for those special occas
My husband and I visited the inn during the bank holiday. From the moment we arrived to this stunning location, staff were more than helpful. We were shown to our spacious room and en-suite overlooking the gardens and beautiful views. We enjoyed a drink outside and then came inside to eat. The food was absolutely incredible. We chose to have the tuna and roe deer for starter and the lamb and duck for our main, we were not disappointed. To accompany our food we chose to have Coravin wines which our waiter (who has exceptional knowledge on wine) took the time to help pair with each course. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was also amazing (the homemade black pudding especially). Adam, the new owner, took time to introduce himself and talk to us during both days. We were advised on different places we could go for lunch and various walks we could enjoy. Will definitely be returning.

Came for supper with a friend and were ushered to our table. A bottle of water appeared and bucket of ice, lemon & pair of tongues delivered. We chose two staters and shared both - scotch egg and fish cake. Both tasty n hot. We both chose the duck for main. It came slightly pink but disappointed with only just warm noodles and not sure what the rest was meant to be. Cabbage and bean sprouts. Service was excellent. Atmosphere lovely and decor modern & country style. Prices were plenty enough £40 each inc red wine.

16th century traditional English Gastro-Pub with three letting bedrooms. Fire place in the bar for the winter and a beautiful terrace and garden for spring and summer. The menu is changing everyday and we offer a traditional Sunday roast with Yorkshire pu
We booked for ten to celebrate a 50th Wedding Anniversary. The food and service were perfect. The prices were very reasonable for food of this quality. The wine list was varied to cater for all tastes. The cheese soufflé came highly recommended and it lived up to the hype. We had children in the party and they were entertained with colouring pencils and games. The table was presented beautifully. We had a lovely night. We will be coming back, possibly in the day time so we can admire the garden.

In the picture perfect village of Churchill, The Chequers is everything a traditional pub should be with its pretty Cotswold stone exterior and a muddy landrover outside. Except, step inside this pub and you'll find something much more intriguing. A heady
We ate as a family in the upstairs private room and had a brilliant time. The food was interesting and delicious and the service was especially attentive. I would thoroughly recommend this place to future diners. The French Manager was also exceptional. Thank you for hosting our family celebration.

Located in the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Kingham, near Chipping Norton, the Kingham Plough has achieved a happy balance between a 'proper' pub and an exceptional dining room. The quintessential Cotswold Inn, The Kingham Plough offers excellent mo
We sought out the Kingham Plough after finding in a Condé Nast Travel recommendation list, and having noted that the chef was a Fat Duck alumnus. The food- while much steeper in price than the average Cotswolds pub- was spectacular, especially the fresh and wonderful vegetables that clearly were grown down the road (based on the taste). Highly recommend to anyone in the vicinity. Between this and the Wild Rabbit, Kingham must just about be the best Cotswold.

Husband and I visited for Sunday lunch. Booked in advance as we were meeting friends but unfortunately they couldn't come so we ended up dining alone. The pub itself is lovely, especially in the bar area with its low ceilings and cosy, rustic atmosphere. We were seated in an extension out the back which was still decorated nicely but we probably would have preferred to sit in the cosier older part of the pub and will ask for this next time. My husband and I both had 3 course lunches. My husband had the soup which was cider and onion and came with a roll. I had a hot chilli smoked salmon which although delicious was a bit small for the price and I would have liked a roll with mine too. These came swiftly though and we didn't wait long even though the pub was busy. We both then had roast beef which despite some negative reviews on here was superb. Two generous thick slices of pink succulent beef on some greens and a sweet carrot, chunky roast potatoes and a glorious Yorkshire on top. what's not to like? This also came with a much enjoyed dish of cauliflower cheese which in my opinion is a staple to any roast dinner. I hate it when you're paying good money and get a postage stamp worth on a plate but the portion was generous and we were both fat and happy by the end of it! Then the puddings. My husband is rarely tempted by puds but went for a peach iced parfait with ginger snap crisps and roast peaches. It was divine and very pretty on the plate. I had the bread and butter pudding which was equally delicious and plenty of it. Again we didn't have to wait long to receive any of our courses. My only criticisms of our visit was that we were sat with empty glasses for a long time between courses and when these were collected, the waitress didn't stop to ask if we wanted any more drinks she just took them when passing and quickly disappeared. I would also say the puddings and starters are a bit over priced for what you get but I did appreciate a different selection to what you normally get on a pub sunday lunch menu. You can get the likes of pate and toast, prawn cocktail, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie anywhere these days so it was a welcome change to have some different choices and it was all well cooked and tasted great. We will certainly return for more!

Recently returned from weekend stay at this lovely spot.Very relaxed and beautiful pub with roaring fires and great atmosphere.Drinks range excellent and food lovely. We felt there could have been a tad more choice or perhaps a special or two, as eating 2 days on the trot mean't choice was a little limited. We stayed in a cottage across the road and this was very comfortable indeed and a fire here made it very cosy.Expensive but a treat.

My wife queued to order food. When she got to the counter, the waitress snapped at her that it was table service. We then waited and waited for our order to be taken, but no one came. They were not busy but were just talking amongst themselves.
