Fantastic fish and chips and I find best in the town. They offer a wider range of fish selection compared to others. The portions are about right for the cost.Excellent place to eat thanks

I'm a regular here with my partner and sometimes the dog. Staff are always friendly, everything is homemade, coffee is well prepared, hot chocolate amazing. Always a huge range of cakes, bakes and scones from traditional to new and interesting flavours.Had my first breakfast today. £10 for a plate full of tasty veggie goodness, a cappucino and some of the best toast I've ever had. Great service to locals and visitors alike. Keep up the good work!

We've always loved Morrels in the past, especially their Sunday evening menu but rather disappointed on this visit. Usually when we've ordered roast beef we've been asked how we like it, this time told it came pink or would we like it "cooked more". When our food came 5 mins later it was medium rare so mine had to go back to the kitchen. It was returned a couple of minutes later, more to my taste but difficult to cut, the lady who appeared to be in charge offered me a steak knife when she saw me struggling. I did finish my meal and in all honesty it was OK but when we had left my husband told me he'd left his roast potatoes as they were too hard!! We will most probably give it a try again on our next visit as we've never had a problem in the past, hopefully this was a one off.

An art gallery with a difference, Treeby & Bolton houses a wide range of contemporary art, fine china and glass alongside unique gifts and interiors. Situated downstairs from the gallery, the cafe is stylish and contemporary and offers a tempting selectio
Delicious lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. We sat in the far end of the cafe with lovely large windows which was great on the sunny day we were enjoying when we visited Keswick. Our lunch of tagliatelle & bolognese was perfect, flavoursome and authentic. Great service from all the staff, friendly and polite. We didnât have dessert this time but all the cakes in the cabinet certainly looked good, maybe next time.

This review covers two visits. Overall still a 5 star review but one visit was better than the others. Had dinner on Saturday night and the food was really lovely. Hearty, tasty and plentiful- just what you need after a day on the fells. Went back in for Sunday lunch on Sunday (obvs!) and given the standard of food from the night before it was a bit disappointing. Under-seasoned. The roast potatoes were literally whole potatoes so were too big to be really crispy and roasted. Bit disappointing but after going up skiddaw we were ravenous so we cleared plates anyway but perhaps a bit more care required on the Sunday food.Thank you for your 5 'star' review. So pleased you had such lovely meals with us on the Saturday...the chefs have seem you comments. They are a little disappointed, as I am, that we didn't quite hit the note on the Sunday. Some of the roast potatoes were left too large when roasting off We were short staffed this Sunday however that is not an excuse and your point has been taken on board. We do apologise. Thanks again and hope you will call in again next time on the fells.Michelle(owner)

We were looking for somewhere a bit special for a meal during our self catering stay at Braithwaite, more or less on the opposite side of the valley to Lyzzick Hall. We were warmly welcomed and invited to sit in the comfortable lounge which had great views whilst we enjoyed our pre dinner drinks. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. If we had one small criticism it was that the interval between the courses could have been a little more leisurely but this did not detract from our enjoyment of the meal, which was great value.

Award winning restaurant with rooms featuring the best of Cumbrian produce
Our family of 3 visited The Cottage in the Woods for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Setting was beautiful, food was delicious and service stellar. We would recommend booking early and requesting seats with a view (which for good reason goes quickly). We stayed in Windermere and this was 100% worth the drive!

Hearty, wholesome deli cafe during the day. Cosy restaurant in the evenings, serving great local beer and cocktails
We visited this restaurant in late October and really enjoyed the whole experience, we have visited Keswick many times and have never been in here before and wished we had. We didnât book but managed to get a table as it was early, the restaurant is well laid out and cosy with lots of interesting information about how the business came about. We were seated quickly and ordered everything together, the drinks came quickly and the food didnât take too long either. The menu isnât expansive but what they do is top quality and the cocktail menu is good as well. The prices arenât too bad for Keswick and this establishment is a step up from normal eateries in the area. Overall I would recommend the Fellpack to families and couples alike.
