A lovely pub in an 18th century coach house building. Serving home cooked food every day at very reasonable prices. Sunday lunch every Sunday. Dog friendly and child friendly.
We stopped in for lunch, service was good meals were not exciting but tasty...the cleanliness of the pub and washrooms was questionable.Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your lunch. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our pub and toilets, in fact as the owner I clean it all myself to ensure it is up to my standard!
Good quality, locally sourced Devon fayre. Inside and outside seating available. Hot and cold food, all-day breakfasts, local recipes, cream teas and packed lunches. Cakes and desserts also available to order. Come and sample proper Devon hospitality at i
Just where you might not expect an Alpine chalet....Tah dah!....there it is!Nestled just outside Holsworthy ...surrounded by fields and with a Ruby Walking Trail on the doorstep,A very welcome and surprising find with great views over Holsworthy.Fantastic freshly made coffee....and a huge pot of tea made with TEA LEAVES!!A breakfast was selected from an ample and flexible blackboard menu.It is cooked in front of you by the lovely Patron/Chef. (great ingredients including toasted granary bread and lashings of butter.) I chose a simple cheese scone - light and airy.....oozing butter and flavour.Often...less is more. This unpretentious discovery would make the likes of Starbucks and Costa weep.Loved it.

Called in for a family meal. The food was excellent and initially so was the service, unfortunately we appear to have chosen a games night and as more regulars appeared we were all but forgotten. I would eat there again, but definitely not on a games night.

We happened on this small pub whilst visiting Devon in August. It would be hard to imagine a more British pub. Housed in a turn of the century building near the river, it exemplifies everything good about a pub. Friendly and helpful staff, a huge array of beers, and all the quintessential dishes from fish & chips and cottage pie to yorkshire pudding. If you are in Tavistock you can join the locals here for a pint and some gossip. Great place.

We stopped here for breakfast whilst passing through and it was your typical corner cafe (meant in a very good way) our breakfast was very tasty and from what I can remember was also very good value for money! The waitress was very nice and we also bought some cakes to take with us on our travels.

The Rydon Inn is a converted traditional Devon Long House, it has been beautifully developed, with high vaulted ceilings exposing all the beam work in the main pub area, this also includes an unconventional thatched bar. The idealiac conservatory eating a
Table of 4 & all had sunday roast beef brisket which include a gluten free. 3 were very good but 1 was over fatty & on the gluten free option they left off the yorkshire & dumpling but nothing in there place but at the same price! That said the beef was very tasty. Wife had chocolate brownie for desert which was very good. Can see why it is a popular eatery.

Good home made meals served daily . Sunday roast booking being taken now .
Jill & Ashley are such a lovely, friendly couple this also shows in the upkeep of the pub and accommodation. The accomedation was really clean and beds were comfortable. They've thought about every fine detail and added some lovely personalble touches from a little mug in bedroom for our daughter, teddys on her bed, toiletries and welcoming messages. We didn't have a small child but the room was fully equipped with a travel cot, bouncer & wipes. The pub is a truly a family friendly they've got a fantastic relationship with the locals. It was nice being able to have a drink whilst our daughter coloured with the locals making conversation. We felt really comfortable, safe and enjoyed evenings having a drink making conversation. The food was lovely and Gill accommodated for our needs, loved the lush fresh breakfast. Definite recommend the Kings Arms, please say hello from the Mistry's when you go.Our daughter wanted a really big thank you for her Easter Egg such a lovely touch. We'll definitely be back xxIt was a pleasure, you have such a lovely family.Hope to see you again soon.

The Molesworth Arms re-open for business in Dec 2015 after been shut up for 2 years! Our simple aim & ethos was to run a friendly pub that consistently serves good food, local ales/ciders, quality wines in a comfortable & relaxing environment. We build cl
Limited opening hours means that you really need to check beforehand and book to avoid disappointment. Welcoming hosts and attentive staff. Excellent local ales on tap and wines to suit most palettes. Perfectly cooked duck breast with a hint of Far East fusion, blackberry and apple - yummy. My sea bass was the best I've ever had - fresh, tasty and succulent. Lemon posset that I was VERY reluctant to share. Good value for quality local produce. This out of the way treasure is worth seeking out.

Cocktail Bar and Cornish Bistro. The bar was inspired by the murky glamour of the speakeasy era. Always happy to be different, preferring to think for our selves rather than follow the pack. Approachable, welcoming, lacking in pretention; we work for top
Dropped into Bude just a little before 8pm on a Saturday evening, looking for a decent meal of good quality. The Deck, The Olive Tree and popular others were full: some, even not taking orders after 8pm!!!Almost next door to The Deck is the oddly named Sazerac, and "Wow!" what a really good, well-presented meal we had. Their restaurant does not cram-in its tables or "milk" diners & holiday makers, but offers a limited menu (always a promising sign!!) and I really chose well: Cornish Clams as a divine "Starter" followed by a beautifully presented Veal, repleat with veal liver, smoked bacon and a wonderful jus.It appears to be part of the Atlantic Hotel.Loved it. Determined to return, especially as it's an easy drive from mid-Devon.Obviously, a talented Chef, but also a very good, young, polite Maitre D' and a good waitress.Well done!
